I walked into the kitchen and sighed. Today was the day that our game was supposed to begin. I wasn't excited about playing this game with him but I knew that I didn't have a choice. I woke up and I still didn't get any response from Vain. It was very weird because he always responded to me and now there was nothing at all. It made me feel so many different emotions. I was angry with him because I needed him now more than ever and he wasn't here for me. I took a deep breath and rolled my eyes when I saw Gian in the kitchen cooking. I frowned when I noticed the delicious-looking pancakes sitting on the table.

What the hell, I thought that he said that he couldn't cook

What the hell, I thought that he said that he couldn't cook. He turned around to face me and his eyes lit up. I rolled my eyes at his fake good morning gesture. I wasn't in the mood to pretend to like him. I was going to be as rude as I wanted to be.

"Good morning Athena, I'm so glad that you could join me for breakfast. I know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we don't want you missing that do we?"

I sat down slowly and forced a smile, "interesting. I thought that you said that you were a horrible cook. I see that you were not honest about that."

He chuckled and placed a plate down in front of me. "Well, I'm full of surprises. Orange juice?"

"I see that," I mumbled grabbing my fork. "Yes, orange juice will be fine."

He placed the glass down in front of me and grabbed his plate. He took a seat across from me and started to eat his food. It was hard for me to have an appetite but I needed to eat.

"How do you like the food?"

I gulped down the eggs in my mouth, "they are...outstanding." I couldn't hide the sarcasm in my voice. I hated him for what he was doing to me right now.

"You might want to watch your tone. It will be your downfall in our little game. As promised, the game will begin. Starting the game off we will play a little truth or dare. Then we will move on to would you rather. It seems like it will be interesting, right?"
