Maya and the boys head outside everyone is talking about how they love that Mr.Mathews is their U.S History teacher this year. "Maybe it'll be this way till college" Zay jokes around. They talk about how much they miss Harper and middle school and how easy everything used to be back then amongst other things until Zay takes a left and Maya an Lucas keep walking straight.

"So how was your first day back?" Lucas asks breaking the the awkward scilence.

"Good... It's school Lucas, pretty much the same clases as last year." She response, but notices it could of coe out a little too arrogant which was not her intention at all. "How about you?" She says this time with a slighty more upbeat tone.

"Great actually, I got a new elective this year, Agriculture."He answers expecting a tease like she used to.

"That sounds nice Lucas, I'm happy for you." She encourages.

"Yea, we have little farm too, there is a pig, Charlotte" He adds hoping for a glimps of the old teasing Maya. 

"Awe, what a cute name." She replies.

"That's it?" He asks a bit disapionted.

"Well what do you mean. It is a cute name." She says.

"Come'on Maya, When was the last time you yelled "HUUUGARG" to me face, called me ranger rick or ranger roy." He confesses

"A while I guess, it's just your with Riley now and it just doesn't feel right anymore." She explains

"Well aren't we all friends?" he adds

Maya stays quiet and continues walking staring at the ground bitting her bottom lip. 

"Maya, look I'm sorry if I made you uncomforble, but I just miss the relationship we had before everything." He confesses.

She is speechless. All she wants to do is tell him the real reason why she has kept her difrence, that it is not easy for her to see him everyday, let alone talk to him or go back to their relationship, but she can't. She won't. Riley means to much to her and so does he. Lucas likes Riley, he wants her, he picked her and she won't come between that. Until she finaly has the courage to say something.

"It's fine, I'm just a little shocked by it thats all, but if you miss it so much, I'll bring it back cowboy." She teases while pulling down an imaginary hat.
