The Choice

EIGHT

Maya arrived at Topanga's early to help Katie out and possibly keep drawing in her sketchbook. It was a slow day today, especially this early. Weirdly enough, she enjoyed mornings. She'd wake up bright and early to soak up the bright sun coming in from her window.

Maya sat at her table at Topanga's, glued to her sketchbook. Time flew and when she least expected it was 3:00 pm.

Andrew walks through the door with a bouquet. The first thing he sees is the beautiful blonde drawing, he admires her with a smile.

She notices, "Hey you.. wait aren't you early," she says

"Hey, yea a little bit," he says with a chuckle. "I umm, I wanted to get a snack before the gallery. I didn't expect you to be here already. He laughs. " Ohh and umm these are for you" as he hands the flowers to her.

"Thanks" she smiles looking down at the flowers to smell them. "Go get your croissant" as she points to the counter.

He gets snacks for both of them and goes back to the table. They start eating the desserts.

"So did you decide on taking one of your pieces?" he asked, breaking the silence.

"No, not really. I don't have anything done. I'm working on a few drawings, but they're far from finished."

"Well I'm sure they are great pieces" he reassures.

After a while, in the art gallery, everything is going well they are having a wonderful time joking around with each other. Andrew gets a text inviting him to a house party

 "Heyy would you like to go to a party later tonight?" he asked

" I think I have to tell you something. So everything is kinda complicated with me at the moment. I don't think I will be dating anytime soon. There is just much going on right now and quite frankly I don't even know what it is I want." she said.

"Ohh Maya, that's ok I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable in any way. I meant the invitation as a friend you could bring your friends too if you would like," he explained 

There was a small silence between them. A small moment when Maya thought if it was possible that she had misread the situation but he brought her flowers for god's sake but who knows what was going through this guy's head. 

"Then sure let me text them and see if they want to come with," she said.

NOTE: I apologize for not updating sooner I was just going through some stuff emotionally and did not feel motivated at all to keep writing ironically I binge-watched the entire show twice since then tho LOL 😂
