Riley and Lucas approach Maya and Andrew who seem to be so engaged in each other they don't notice the others standing a couch away.
"Heyy peaches...." says Riley in a low tone not wanting to disturb the couple.
"Ohh, hey guys...... uhh how long have you been standing there?" Maya replies shocked.
"We just got here. Who is that?" Lucas answers pointing to Andrew.
"This is my new friend Andrew." She responds putting her arm around his upper back to touch the other side of his shoulder.
Andrew gets up and approches both Riley and Lucas. "Nice to meet you, I'm Andrew." as he extends his hand to Riley. She quickly smiles and says, "I'm Riley, Maya's bestfriend." friendly as Riley can be. Andrew extends his hand to Lucas who looks him up and down. He gives his hand to Andrew keeping his grip tight. "Lucas." He says. Andrew smiles. They all sit down. After talking for a while Andrew takes a look at the time.
"I have to go if I want to catch the next bus to campus, but I had a great time." he says looking at Maya.
She smiles and a slight blush apears on her cheeks. Riley stares at Maya almost demanding aresponse.
"Yea, me too! So tomorrow at 3:30?" Maya asks.
"Wouldn't miss it." he confirms
"AWWW" Riley gushes in the background.
"I mean this place has the best croissants" he jokes.
Maya laughs. "We do"she smiles.
"But an even better substitude waitress" he adds as he huggs her goodbye.
He extends his hand for both of the others as he leaves.
"He was so nice. How did you meet him Maya?" Riley asks.
"Yeah, who was that guy?" Lucas insists
" I was filling in for my mom at the register and he came in asked for a croissant and I thought we were out, but then my mom had one. ehh you had to be there" Maya sums it all up.
