Today is Valentines day. Alec said that he had something planned for me. This would be our first Valentine as a couple and I'm so excited. I didn't know what to get him so I settled for a box of his favorite chocolate, which is dark chocolate, a handmade card from me. I didn't know whether to give him flowers or not because men would be the ones handing out the flowers, but technically they aren't labeled for females only. So I got him a couple flowers I picked out myself. I know my gift isn't exactly the best gift ever, and will probably look plain compared to his, but to be fair this is my first Valentine with someone.
To add a little something to my gift, I went online shopping and found these adorable couple set jewelry. They are both necklaces and it put together, it forms the shape of a heart. Alec's one is a silver color and when you stick the key into the heart, the magnet makes it attached together so you get a full heart shaped necklace. And mine is a rose gold color. I decided to give it to him because he is the key to my heart. I know how cheesy that sounds but it's cute.
So here I am, playing with my half bracelet in class of my first period. Since today is Valentines day, the staff decided it would be a good idea to bring our cheerleading team to perform a little dance for all the couples in our high school. The single people would be given flowers from our football team. So that way everyone gets a little something.
"Are you excited?" Cece whispers to me. We're supposed to be doing work right now but Cece wouldn't shut up about the cute little cuddly bear that Diego gave her this morning.
Diego and Alec are supposedly planning something together for Cece and I. I really wonder what those two boys are up to. They didn't show up to class yet today, but then again I don't have classes with either of them. But after Diego gave Cece her bear, he just left. I kept my Valentine things in Cece's car. She agreed to bring a small cooler bag for me so the chocolate wouldn't melt, so I thank her for that.
Class comes to an end and now the exciting part comes. Everyone starts packing their bags and heading out to the football field. Students gather around on the bleachers while the cheerleaders get ready for their performances. The football players have multiple single roses in their hands, getting ready to hand them off to the single pringles.
I grab my phone out and get ready to text Alec that the event is starting. But no response. He normally replies to me. That's odd.
"Alright students! To celebrate this lovely day, our cheerleaders would like to perform a routine, and after that the football players will be handing out single roses to the single students. Sorry taken ones, but you already got your own valentine!" The principal says into the mic.
"I want a single rose." Cece pouts.
"Cece, you already have a bouquet of flowers in your car, not to mention a stuffed bear." I reply.
"But it's the football team!" She exclaims as if that's going to change my mind. Yeah I gotta say that some are pretty good looking, but I prefer my boyfriend over anybody.
Even is Chris Wood randomly shows up with flowers in his hand. Okay never mind maybe not everyone. Sorry Alec.
Music starts playing and the cheerleaders do flips and cartwheels onto the field with those perky smiles. Here we go.

The event ends with all the single students with roses in their hands and still no sign of Alec and Diego. Cece had texted Diego a while back but didn't receive anything. The school day has ended early so that we could spend time with our loved ones. And I'm pretty sure the teachers have their own little valentine to go home to.
So Cece and I ended up sitting outside the school waiting for our boyfriends to show up. They reminded us multiple times to wait at the school once the day is over, and so we did.
After like 30 minutes of waiting, we both received a text.
Meet us at the back of the school 😉
We look up at each other and a smile breaks onto our faces. We quickly gather our things and make our way to the back. From there, we see a trail of rose petals leading to under the tree. And I instantly remember, this is the tree where we first met. Our lunch table tree.
We follow the rose petals leading to the table where baskets await us. There lay two baskets in our favorite colors. Mine is on the left with lilac purple coating the outside while Cece has a beautiful mint pastel green. We look into the baskets to see our favorite snacks are inside.
Am I drooling? I think I am. There's a card in our baskets and we pick it up to read it.
Good, now drive on over to Diego's where your next gift awaits you :)
Cece groans at the mention of have to travel. We pick up or baskets and walk to Cece's car. Then we start our drive to Diego's house as the card had mentioned.
It was a good 20 minutes drive, we probably ate half of our snacks when we arrived. We hop out of her car and see there's a sticky note on the front door.
Wanna go for a swim? Meet you there
"The pool?" Cece asks. "I didn't even bring my swimsuit." She whines as I drag her along inside Diego's house. We reach the bag and truth be told. Everyone is covered in red and white. The pool is covered in rose petals which spells out 'will you be my valentine'. The pool chairs are decorated with cute cuddly bears and boxes of chocolate. Holy cow.
We both look up to see our boyfriends with a bouquet of flowers in their hands and a wide smile. We both run over to them and squeeze them in hugs.
"Will you be my valentine?" They both ask at the same time. This is so amazing.
I nod my head frantically and tackles Alec again with hugs and kisses. "Is that a yes?" He asks after my assault on him.
"Yes!" I scream and he cups my face and gives me a long lasting kiss. "I haven't seen you all day." I pout.
"I know, I was setting this up. I'll make it up to you." He says with that mischievous smirk. I narrow my eyes at him. Then I remembered.
"Come with me." I tell him and pull him along outside where Cece's car is parked. I pull open the car door, which she should really start locking. Don't want anyone snooping around. I grab the chocolate out of the freezer bag and the bouquet of flowers. I hand them to him. "Happy Valentines day. I didn't know if you wanted flowers but I think guys would appreciate it if girls gave it to them." I say with a smile.
He takes the gifts from my hands and pulls me in a hug. "Thank you baby." He says and kisses my lips.
"Also." I say and pull out the last gift. "I got us matching jewelry. You don't have to wear yours all the time but I just thought it'd be cute." I say. He opens his box and takes out the chain necklace and instantly puts it on. "See, it connects like that. You put the key through the heart and it connects." I say and he tucks a strand of hair behind my ear. Oh did that do wonders to me.
"Hmm, reminds me of something." He says with a dark look on his eyes, his smile turning into one of a smirk.
"What?" I question.
"Nothing, You'll find out soon." He says casually and cups my face, bringing me into a kiss again. "Now let's go eat all that chocolate." He says and pecks my lips 3 times more before we head back inside.
