Just saying, I should have gotten that crystal, I so deserved it, Laura is such a whiner and Lovely is my BFF but seriously she is no match for me. But I sympathized for her because I knew her secret and I felt sorry for her.

I mean hiding that your BFF is adopted is hard. I was about to tell everyone when she stole my fave knee-high boots, like, ugh.

We were shouting like stupid idiots - not me, and if I did, I looked fab doing it- and suddenly we landed in a big fight. We landed on each other and Carlos complained that we messed up his hair. And Laura sat there her jaw dropped all the way down. Then this shine of white light came out of nowhere and we all tripped over each other, trying to get a closer look. Then it was just crazy. We landed in a grass field, with like, nothing at all.

"Hello? Guys? Omg. Do you know where we are?" I asked "Laura? Aw, quit it Carlos! Carlos! CARLOS! LOVELY, LUKE! And there the hell is Nolan? NOLAN, YOU GEEK WHERE ARE YOU?! IT IS NOT FUNNY!"

We started shouting for Nolan, that idiot he probably got lost, actually, that nerd should be smart enough to find his way back to us, with all of us shouting like this.

"ALBERT EINSTEIN IS HERE!!!" I bellowed

"Say what? Who's that" said a tree.

Wait, a tree?

I pounced on the tree, and suddenly I had to goop all over me.

"Ahhhh!! OMG, EW! MY NEW PHONE!!" I clicked and tapped on my phone and it stayed blank

"Hi, I'm Dexter Dizzee, nice to meet you," said a boy with strawberry blond hair and freckles and most, noticeably, dimples he had a bag of supplies now all on the floor, bottles of all shapes and sizes, lost of trinkets some metal bracelets. And he was not wearing normal clothes. It was kind of like a tunic or something, I don't know. Weird.

He offered his hand for a handshake, none of us took it. "Oh, oh well. Awkward." He said and pulled his hand away.

I reached for one of the stylish black bracelets that I saw in the pile, but then he grabbed them "Nuh-uh, no. That's a sucker-puncher unless you want to break someone's nose, I don't recommend it." he said with a smug smile like he was reviving a memory.

"Dude, creepy," said Carlos who just finished with his hair.

"Well, it's not that creepy once you've experienced being kidnapped and all that. Plus almost dying." Dex said casually as if it were the most normal thing to say.

We all just blinked at him. In awe, like we've all just seen a ghost. Then he saw the clear crystal that we were all fighting over and his face went from, happy and cheerful, to fear and surprise.

"Where did you guys get that?" He asked us and pointed at the crystal frowning hard.

"This?" Laura said, picking it up, "We found it in our classroom. Why? Is it important?"

"Uh, yeah. That's a leaping crystal. The clear ones lead here. To the lost cities." Dex explained.

"Lost-what now?" said Luke fixing his shirt

"I better bring you to Everglen, Havenfeild is a tad busy with the new vermilion moving in" Dex pulled out a blank metal state and called Sophie Foster, then Fiz Vacker, Biana Vacker, and a guy called Keefe Sencen picked up...
