I reply to his stupid question "Hunters. They are back"
"Ah, good." Ernest says. "We need to work together more often, then. We got a lot of stuff to iron out."
I sit in silence thinking how I could take them down on my own 'After what Earnest did to mother I couldn't possibly trust him . But he is my brother after all' . Ernest continues.
"There are some bad hombres hunting around these parts, and we want to keep them away. If we all work together, there won't be any problems in the future."

I come back from my thoughts and all I heard was 'if we all work together' and I chuckled and said "Hah! You wish"
"No, I really think we should." Ernest says earnestly.

(A/N- see what I did there😏)

I replied snarling "Well after what you did to mother I don't WANT to work with you, and I don't need you! "
Ernest sighs, his smile disappearing.
"I'm sorry about that... It was a hard decision, but one I thought was necessary. If it's any consolation, your mother really didn't want to fight us either." Ernest says.

I sigh, relaxing a bit, but I still looked wary. I was having second thoughts on letting him help me. All I needed was that damn crystal.

"Well... I guess you're not all bad."
Ernest smiles again, before leaning against the pike again.

Ant says "I'm confused, what happened? "
Ernest explains how he had to fight his mother, and how he's sorry for having to do it.

I didn't want to but in but I had too "Brother, I need the crystals which are inside! Also Ant needs to sleep. "
Ant is silent, as I explain that I need the crystals for my wound aswell as for other unspoken reasons, also that Ant needs to sleep.
I walk ahead, opening up the cabin and tossing a blanket on the floor for Ant.

Ant says "Thank you"
Ant looks at me, as I nod as a 'your welcome' . Ant relaxes, lying down the blanket and curling up.
Ant falls asleep and starts having a dream about her past.
