Ant says "Good morning"
"Good morning," I reply.
"We need to talk about what just happened," Ant says.Ant says "About the Craxil"
"And I have questions, since you know more about it than I do" you say after finishing your mouthful
"Then we have a lot of talking to do."
"Do you think the Craxil is still alive?" I ask.Ant says "No, I killed it"
"You think it was Zamed? I mean I killed it afterall" Ant asks me
"It doesn't matter who killed it, we need to stop them from killing more."
"True," Ant agrees.
"So what do we do?"
"We need to find where Zamed is," Ant says. "Let's go see the King."
Ant nods, and goes towards the main city of her people.Ant says "That damned Raven still has my soul... "
The guards look at me strangely when I walk in, but the King looks up from his desk, and sees Ant.
"Ah, there you are," he says, gesturing to a chair, "I was just asking your brother where you were. Now, Ant, tell me, how is your village doing?"
She takes a deep breath, before exhaling slowly.Ant says "My brother..? He survived? "
"Indeed, he found me two weeks ago," the King says. "Fortunately, he looked exactly like me, so they let him in. He brought me back a letter from your mother."
"What did the letter say?"
"That you were alive and well, of course. And that you would return when you were ready."
"Of course," you nod, trying not to smile. "That was very nice of her to write."
The King smiles.
"So, how is your village?" he asks. "What's the population like?"I stand around just listening to the conversation, as I didn't want to be a bother.
Ant says "Everyone was killed by the Craxil, I thought I was the only survivor"
"Everyone?" the King asks, raising an eyebrow. "Then there are others?"
"There were Oalkwardners, too," Ant says, "But they all died."
"Hmm..." the King says. "I see... so the Craxil has yet another enemy to deal with. Tell me, how did you deal with it?"
"We fought," Ant says simply.
"And?"
Ant zoned out for a second
"And?" the King asks again.
"Is it dead?" I said for her and she zoned back in obviously embarrassed.
"I see," the King says, looking at you and Ant.Ant says "Are you my father?"
"Ah, yes. Yes, I am," the King nods.
"Am I dead?" Ant asks, "because I can't quite tell."
The King chuckles, shaking his head.
"No, you're very much alive," the King says. "It's a very long story."
"We have time," I say standing patiently.
"Well, then I shall tell you the story of how I came to be known as the 'King of Oalkwardners'," the King says with a smile.
"It starts off as a beautiful day in the Kingdom of Oalkwardner..."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
