3 YEARS LATER...
"Thanks Mr Daniels, see you tomorrow," I say walking out of the classroom, he offers me a warm smile as I leave the classroom. Sabrina is waiting outside.
"Hey," I greet her with a smile. Her brown eyes shoot up to meet mine.
"Hi, you ready to go?" She questions with a smile. I nod. Sabrina drives me to and from school, seeing as I haven't yet got my license, although I do take driving lessons now. Okay, so maybe if you haven't quite got it yet, I'm no longer fourteen. I'm now seventeen, soon to be eighteen. I am in year 13 at Falcon High. You may also notice my speech is now fluid, and I don't really stutter. Well I finished my counselling sessions for my speech with "flying colours", what makes me laugh is the lame woman who was my speech therapist actually thought she was the woman behind my remarkable speech recovery. In truth it was pretty much Polly I have to thank. For the past few years she has been helping me, and she's amazing, it's like she know exactly what's goin go n. As if she too has experienced it. Now it would be unfair to say my counselling sessions were a complete waste of time, although it wouldn't be unreasonable, they did help me practice but they didn't even come close to the help I got from Polly.Me and Sabrina walk down the stairs, and out of the building. Outside the doors are swarming with students. Me and Sabrina snake our way through the crowds, moaning about obnoxious year sevens. As we reach the car park though, which is situated by the gates, there is yelling and shouting. Me and Sabrina share a bewildered look.
"Ooh look it's a Lowsley High boy!" Shouts someone, followed by various other hateful shouts. There are a handful of students encircling someone. Just the name 'Lowsley High' makes me feel nostalgic, in the worst way possible sending shivers down my spine. I shake it off, nevertheless, that was in the past. All of it. Waiting in the back seat of the car is Holly and Lennox. Holly has mid length, straight brown hair, big brown eyes and plump lips. Lennox on he other hand had choppy red dyed hair and blasts out screamo songs. Me and Sabrina decide to ignore the shouting and climb into the car.
"Something weirds going on out there," sighs Sabrina, sinking into her seat and adjusting the mirror. Holly snaps up immediately.
"Weird? What do you mean?" She questions. I groan, the last thing we need is Holly getting involved. You see Holly is deputy head girl, and she took it very seriously. She believed she had to protect the school with her heart.
"Just some Lowsley Boy's turned up and caused a stir," explains Sabrina, beginning to start the car. Before she has the chance however, Holly has jumped out of the car and is marching towards the scene. I groan and run a hand through my hair. I pull myself out of the car. Holly is already policing the situation.
"What's going on here?" She hisses and the students snap their heads in her direction. Some people begin to murmur replies.
"He just turned up here," said one of the boys, Duke. "Without any proper reason, probably just to snoop around at our school!" The others murmured in agreement. Holly cuts them off with a cold and hard glare.
"Who do you think you are anyway? Your just a stupid deputy head girl, not a proper teacher!" Hisses one of the girl Penny.
"Well at least I'm not a failure like you!" Scoffs Holly becoming quite hot and frustrated. Penny and Holly begin squabbling and so I step forward.
"Okay, Holly that's enough!" I say thrusting her shoulder back as the girls begin getting slightly pushy. "And as for you, just go home and get a life," I sigh to the others. Okay, so I'm not a mean person, I'm quite nice in general. But it's people like these who annoy me. They resentfully walk away. Someone then clears their throat, and my head snaps in their direction. I freeze with my mouth slightly parted. I just stare. After all these years, I can still recognise those burning blue eyes. I still feel those emotions of fear. What does he want? To hurt me even more? He stares back at me with widened blue eyes, he too is shocked. But in more of an amazed way. I'm shocked in more of a horror way. I tear my eyes from him and look to Holly whose lightly shaking me, looking from me to Alex.
"Let's go," I say, my voice hard and cold but somewhat afraid. I gulp and stride over to the car, not looking back and hop in the car. In a spur of the moment, I glance back at him through the window as he stares after the car. He looks startled, and in awe. What's he doing here?
