"Hello?" Namjoon answered, his voice low and hoarse.

"Oh... Did I wake you up? Sorry."

The voice he heard, one he would not have expected, replied on the other side of the call. It threw his drowsiness away as his droopy eyes widened at once.

"Evie?!"

"Yes. It's Evie." He smiled, unknowingly, hearing her voice even though it was flat and monotonous.

"ugh...ha... It's a surprise for you to call me. What's the occasion?" He bit his lips hoping that it wouldn't be a be a bad news.

"Well...uhm... I kinda need your help. Are you free tomorrow?"

"Yeah I guess. Are you in Hong Kong?" He asked eagerly.

"Not yet. I'm in London. I'll fly in tomorrow."

"What are you doing in London? If you don't mind me asking."

"For a conference." She replied, "So my request is... can you pick me up from the airport or can you send a taxi to drop me to my hotel?"

"Are you, like, scared?"

"Yeah—"

"Okay! I'll pick you up then. Text me the details, okay?"

"Thank you so much. Sorry again for waking you up."

"It's okay. Bye." He grinned.

"Bye."

Namjoon lied down on his bed again; staring at his phone screen, waiting for her text—

From Evie

The plane will arrive at Hong Kong International Airport at 18 : 25. If there are any delays, I'll call you. See you tomorrow.

Okay. See you tomorrow.

He smirked at the screen. What are the odds? The odds of meeting your ex-wife in a far-away land after almost 4 years of no contact. And how odd it was for her to ask for his help.

"I kinda miss you though..."
