Standing up on Wednesday to get ready for school was hard.
He wasn't used to the house being so...calm, lacking any toxic presence.
"Hey Atsu, wake up!", his brother opened the curtains, sun shining through the window and lighting up the room.
It was unusual, to have Osamu wake him up at half past six, when before, their morning routine had been so very different from each other.
"Ughhhh five more minutes!", Atsumu groaned, turning around and preparing to go back to sleep again.
However, just as he was about to doze off again, a heavy weight plopped down right on his body, all air leaving the blond haired male.
Did Osamu just—
"Samu, get off of me!!"
"Why", Osamu smirked, wriggling a bit to get more comfortable. "It's exceptionally nice here, so while I'm getting comfortable, why don't ya go back to sleep like ya wanted to, hm~?"
"Ugh, I hate you!"
The grey haired male laughed, knowing that Atsumu didn't really mean it.
"Yeah, yeah, Love ya, big baby~!"
Atsumu turned his face into the pillow, pouting when his brother continued laying on top of him.
It would be wrong to say that he had already forgiven Osamu.
He would look at his brother and still expect him to say something mean and tease him about his insecurities, but it never came.
Atsumu saw that Osamu really was trying to be nicer and behave more like a brother, and well, the blonde knew that if he just turned everyone the cold shoulder, it would make everything extremely awkward.
Not that he even wanted to do that.
It was enough for his brother to know that he hadn't forgiven him yet, and he really, truly appreciated being treated the way he was now, and he wanted to cherish that."Boys, time for breakfast!"
The way his brother's weight had disappeared from on top of him in a matter of milliseconds was amusing.
Food was still the grey haired male's highest priority after all, that would never change.Walking towards the door, Osamu almost left the room, but not before turning around another time, smiling slightly.
"I really do."
Then he left the room.
Atsumu himself sighed, the smile leaving his face.
"Me too", he murmured.
He wasn't used to his brother being so kind and caring towards him.
It was weird... but nice nonetheless.
"Atsumu~~", he heard his father's voice from downstairs. "If you won't come down I'll be coming up with cold water~~"
Shit.
Scrambling to stand up, Atsumu accidently got tangled in his bed sheets and fell onto the floor. Ugh.
"Ouch", he whispered, sitting up slowly and rubbing the back of his head. "Stupid fucking bedsheets", he murmured.
*Ding*
His phone unexpectedly made a sound at the new message he received. Atsumu reached for the device, expecting it to be Kiyoomi, even though he was a bit surprised that he was already texting him this early in the morning.
Looking at the screen, Atsumu's eyes widened in surprise.
