After signing the visitation papers, me and Halle headed through security. We placed all our items in the bin before stepping through the metal detectors.

"You too pretty to be visiting somebody up in here." I heard.

I looked up to see a fairly old prison guard, with both his front two teeth missing and a gold teeth at the bottom, smiling at me. The nerve of some old men in the world. This man up here looking like Roscoe from Martin. Please move around sir. I politely smiled at him while grabbing Halle's hand and guiding her to one of the tables to sit at.

"What?" I questioned Halle after I see her smirking.

"He was ready to risk it all for you." We both laughed. "Im nervous." She shyly said, switching the subject.

"Don't be." I gently grabbed her hand. "This is no different than talking to her on the phone." I reassured her.

Halle nodded her head. There was a loud buzz before a door opened letting all the inmates into the room for their visit.

I immediately smiled seeing my mom walk into the room. She looks so much more healthier, and happier.

"My babies." She said walking up to us with tears in her eyes.

I got up first and hugged her. I'm not gonna lie, I did tear up. To be in my mom's arms and know it is completely genuine is everything.

"Hi momma" I said pulling back.

"Hi bumble bee." She replied, caressing my face, smiling. "Hi beautiful." She turned to Halle, pulling her in for a hug.

"Hi mommy" Halle slightly smiled. We all sat down at the table. "How have you been?" Halle questioned.

"I've been good. As good as you can be in a place like this. I'm still attending my therapy sessions. Oh the warden is letting me start a gardening club soon." She grinned.

"That's wonderful mom, I remember how much you used to love being in a garden." I said.

"Yes. I used to get so mad when you and your friends would mess my plants up. Tear your little behind up." We laughed. "So what brings y'all by for a visit?" She asked.

I looked at Halle, who looked at me, wanting to tell her. I nodded my head at Halle to indicate that she was going to tell her. I'm just extra ears for the situation.

"I'm ready to forgive you for everything, but before I can do that I need to hear your side of things. And why you did what you did. I didn't want to do this over the phone, so I asked BB if we could come visit." Halle explained.

Tina looked off to the side for a moment before turning her attention back to Halle. "Sure babygirl." She stated.

For the next thirty minutes we listened to her explain her reasoning behind everything she did. Halle got to ask the questions she's been wanting to ask. Their was a lot of crying but in the end, Halle had fully forgiven my mom and was looking forward to their relationship going stronger.

"Go wait outside, I'll be right there" I informed Halle. It was close to visiting hours being over, but before we left my mom wanted to talk to me privately.

"I just wanted to thank you." My mom said once Halle was gone. I raised my eyebrow in confusion. "For not only forgiving and starting over fresh with me, but for taking my baby in and caring for her."

"That's my sister." I replied.

"She is but that doesn't mean you were obligated to do what you did. Your barely 21 raising a pre teen. You really have the heart of an angel Bey, and I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you." She finished.
