3. Goodbye Mr. Nice Mayor Chapter 7

  Rocky, Colt and Tumtum went and made themselves ready for tonight's dinner at Mr. Hawks place. And Mrs. Douglas tried to reach out to her husband to see if he'd believed her of everything she was going to tell him about the new mayor.
  Colt came into the living room and sat down on the sofa to put his shoe's on.
,, You're father won't pick up. '' Mrs. Douglas said who was sitting on the other sofa right across the living room affront of Colt.
  Colt thought a bit ,, Calling 911. Would that be such a bad idea? ''
  Mrs. Douglas raised her eyebrows ,,Only calling 911 and telling them we have an emergency. It's the new mayor. He's making drugs and selling them? No. That won't do anything. '' Mrs. Douglas said.
  Colt kept thinking. Then something popped into his mind ,, What if you went down to the station? ''
,, You mean to your father? ''
Colt nodded.
  Mrs. Douglas thought a bit then she nodded ,, Lock the doors when you're leaving. I'll be back. ''
,, Mom? Where are you going? '' Tumtum approached his Mom walking up to the front door with car keys in her hands.
,, I'm going to see your father. Will you be good? '' Mrs. Douglas asked.
Tumtum nodded.
,, Alright. Bye. '' Mrs. Douglas opened the door.
,, Bye! '' Colt and Tumtum replied. Mrs. Douglas got outside and went to the car, started the engine and drove off.
,, Hey. Did someone just leave? '' Rocky came down the stairs button his shirt.
,, Yeah. Mom did. She went down to the station to talk to Dad since he wouldn't pick up. '' Colt said grabbing his jacket from the sofa.
,, Alone? '' Rocky asked.
,, She left. '' Colt shrugged his shoulders.
,, So do you think the plan is going to work? '' Tumtum wondered.
,, Hopefully. If we only knew Dad would listen to what Mom is going to say. I highly doubt it. But, hopefully he will. '' Colt said.
  Rocky nodded as an agreement.
,, What is Grandpa doing lately? We haven't seen him or heard of him in a while. '' Tumtum mentioned.
,, I don't know Tum. Probably alone at his cabin doing some Ninja skills. Come on. Let's go to the Hawk's house.'' Colt said as he walked up to the door.

Grandpa was out on the porch, relaxing and got some fresh air.
Suddenly, car light's appeared from the other side of the bridge and stopped.
  Grandpa stood up and went for a closer look. It was Mrs. Douglas who came out of the car and came rushing over the bridge.
,, Dad! ''
,, Jessica? What are you doing here? '' Grandpa asked as he and his daughter got closer.
,, Will you come to the police station with me? Please? '' Mrs. Douglas breathed fast.
,, Sure. If you'll tell me what's going on. '' Grandpa nodded.
,, Of course I will. Now come on. '' Mrs. Douglas grabbed Grandpa's arm.
,, Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a second. Is this about the boy's? '' Grandpa asked.
,, Not this time. It's about the new mayor. Now let's go! '' Mrs. Douglas turned quickly and begin running back to her car.
  Grandpa was in surprise. He had no idea what his daughter was up to or what was wrong. But he followed her to her car and both drove off to the station.

  The 3 brother's arrived at the Hawks house again on their bikes. They walked up to the front door and Rocky pressed the door bell.
- Ding-dong -
They waited a while, then Mrs. Hawk came answering the door.
,, Hey. You must be the son's of Sam Douglas. '' Mrs. Hawk smiled.
,, Yep. ''
,, That's us. ''
,, Well you all look just like your parents. Come on in. Make yourselves at home. '' Mrs. Hawk kindly opened the door wider for the boy's to come inside.
,, Thank you. '' Rocky replied. The Boys came into the house of the entry foyer and Mrs. Hawk closed the door.
,, Everyone is in the back yard. Just go walk through that sliding door. '' Mrs. Hawk pointed to the door.
,, Alright. '' Rocky nodded.
Mrs. Hawk left and went upstairs.
,, Wow. This place looks amazing. '' Colt started to look around.
,, Duh. This used to be our mayor. '' Tumtum said.
,, Yeah but, we'll get him back. '' Colt replied.
,, You don't know that. ''
,, Do too. ''
,, Shut up you two. We're not here to argue again. You got it? Come on. Let's go out to the back. '' Rocky said.
  The boy's went out to the back yard through the sliding door. The smell of fresh BBQ came right into their noses as they got outside.
  The whole family was there. Some men were taking care of grilling the BBQ, kids running around, women chatting and a bunch of teenagers talking etc. Country music's was playing and everyone enjoyed their evening.
  Kevin came up to them ,, Hey. You guys made it. ''
,, Yeah. Great party by the way. '' Rocky admitted.
,, Thanks. Mr. Hawk hardly couldn't wait for you guys to get here. '' Kevin said.
,, Where's he at? '' Colt asked.
,, Right there. '' Kevin pointed at where Mr. Hawk was sitting.
,, Alright. Thanks. '' Rocky tapped his hand on Kevin's arm and walked up to the old mayor, with Colt and Tumtum following him.
  Mr. Hawk saw the boys coming towards him. He stood up.
,, Hello. You must be the son's of Sam Douglas. '' Mr. Hawk smiled.
,, That's right. Nice to meet you. I'm Samuel, this is Jeffrey and Michael. '' Rocky shook hands with Mr. Hawk.
,, You two look just like your Father. '' Mr. Hawk looked at Rocky and Colt as he shook hands with Colt.
,, And you, '' Mr. Hawk smiled at Tumtum and shook hands with him ,,Look just like your mother. ''
,, That's what everybody says. '' Tumtum shrugged his shoulders.
Mr. Hawk smiled and nodded.
,, Hey Uncle '' one young man from the grill said ,, The BBQ is ready. ''
,, Alright. Everyone may take their seats at each table. But these boys have to sit with me. '' Mr. Hawk said.
Everyone begun to sit down at the tables. And the women begun setting the table full of vegetable salad, chips, salsa and drinks.
  Before they all begun to eat, Mr. Hawk stood up ,, Can I make an announcement please? ''
Everyone went silent.
,, Thank you. As we all know why we planned a lovely evening like this with our whole family, including the 3 sons of Sam Douglas. I wanna thank you three for what you have done. It's a shame that we, as grown up adults didn't even had the courage to do of what you 3 had done. ''
  Rocky, Colt and Tumtum smiled at each other.
,, My whole family wants to thank you. Especially my daughter. Jessica. The one who bad to go through a hard time for 3 day's. Thank you. '' Mr. Hawk smiled.
  The 3 brother's smiled and nodded as a your welcome.
  Jessica stood up as well and took her cup of soda ,, A toast, to the 3 heroes! ''
,, To the 3 heroes! '' Everyone cheered and tipped their cups together one to another.
  So everyone started eating and enjoyed their time.
