12. Tumtums New Frenemy Chapter 5

  And yes it was Billy. His face wasn't happy at the way Tumtum saw him as he looked up at him. He was on fire this time!
,, Is there also going to be a third time? '' Billy snapped.
  Tumtums heart pounded. Not again.
,, Huh? Are you deaf? '' Billy snapped again.
  Tumtum decided not to be to silly, but silly enough to prove the principal, he never starts a fight at anything. Tumtum grabbed his books and looked at Billy.
,, I said are you deaf? '' Billy asked once again.
  Cecilia snuck out of the trouble and ran to tell principal Wright.
,, Yeah. You know what? I think I am. It's weird isn't it, how come I actually reply to you even though you asked me if I am deaf, and how I still heard you. '' Tumtum smirked.
  Billys heated up.
,, Na-ah-ah. Not again young Billy. Are you sure you're going to be filled with madness and judgments for the rest of your life? '' Tumtum tried to stop him, and defend himself from getting hurt from Billy again.
  Billy got confused ,, What are you. Poet? ''
  Cecilia and principal Wright got back quietly through the crowd of children, standing around Tumtum and Billy, without saying a word.
,, I didn't say I was a poet. All I'm asking you is one question. Don't wanna be rude or anything but, are you deaf? '' Tumtum asked.
  Every student in the hallway gasped as they heard Tumtum telling back.
,, That ain't so good. ''
,, Yeah. Now he's definitely the one who's starting the fight. '' another kid whispered.
  Is he? Is Tumtum really the one who's starting the fight? Not exactly. He's just trying to teach Billy a lesson. But what kind of lesson?
  Billy's anger went high as it never went before. He kicked his leg onto Tumtums stomach and Tumtum fell down onto the floor on his back again.
  All of the kids in the hallway gasped.
,, Alright. That's it! '' principal Wright came and appeared from hiding himself, as he saw everything that happened; Billy was the one who started the fight.
  Billy gasped ,, Principal Wright! I... ''
,, No I's. But for I had my eye's on you this time '' Principal Wright pointed ,, Now get up Michael. ''
  Tumtum stood up from falling. Who was Billy. An actor? First he can be a real beast and then when someone unexpectedly showed up, he was a poor puppy that looked like he didn't had a mother.
,, You, at my office, and your father will be here any minute now. And you Michael, you're off of detention. '' Principal Wright claimed. He went and grabbed Billy on his jacket and lead him to his office.
  Everyone in the hallway begun to leave and walked on.
  Tumtum sigh as he also continued walking. Cecelia came next to him walking with him.
,, Damn. That was... I could say...wow? I guess? '' Cecilia said.
,, Really? I mean who would've told principal Wright that Billy and I had a problem again? He was just in time. '' Tumtum replied.

,, You did what? ''
,, Tell principal Wright. ''
,, What? Really? '' Tumtum stops walking and a smile played on his face.
  Cecilia nodded.
,, Wow. I can't thank you enough. Thanks. '' Tumtum smiled.

,, But, how come you went and told him? You and I barley even speak, nor know each other. '' Tumtum begun to walk slowly.
,, Well, the thing is, when it comes to people getting bullied around or it has something to do with new kids in school, the green flag in me flips over to a red flag. '' Cecilia said.
  Tumtum chuckled ,, You must be brave then. ''
,, Well, I don't know. Maybe? I never seen myself as the brave one. ''
,, What kind of then? ''
,, The shy and outcast one. ''
,, Wait. Did you just say outcast? '' Tumtum stopped walking again.
,, Yeah? ''
,, You're not an outcast. Seriously. You got a lot of girls around you. ''
,, Yeah, only when I dress up much like they do. '' Cecilias voice almost broke.
  The bell rang. And every student begun to leave the hallway to their classes.
,, Anyways. We have to go. '' Cecilia turned and walked away.
,, Yeah. '' Tumtum had no words left for her. What did she meant by her being an outcast? Clearly she wasn't the most popular girl in school, but still had a lot of girl's around her; which reminded Tumtum that she also mentioned only when I dress up as much as they do?
   Tumtum hasn't really seen Billy the whole day ever since he had to leave classes to go to detention; ever since he lied all the time he never started the fight and blamed it all on Tumtum.

  But after school as Tumtum got out of the building and went to his bike, Billy's dad parked near to where Tumtum was at, waiting for Billy to come.
  His passengers side window opened and Billy's dad was wearing sunglasses. He waved at Tumtum ,, Michael. Right? ''
  Tumtum got confused. Why did he waved at him and begun to be nice?
,, Yeah! '' Tumtum replied.
,, Well good. Just wanted to say hi and uh... Have a great rest of your day! '' Mr. Sides smiled.
  Tumtum smiled a bit back ,, You too! Mr. Sides! ''
,, Call me Edgar. '' Mr. Sides smiled.
  Tumtum went so confused that he didn't knew how to react. Until Billy came and got to the vehicle. He saw Tumtum looking at his father and his father looking at Tumtum.
,, Were you talking to him? '' Billy asked.
,, Yes. Why? '' Mr. Sides asked.
  Billy fastened his seatbelt ,, Let's just go. ''
,, But he... ''
,, I said go!!! '' Billy yelled at his Dad.
  Tumtum was shocked. What the...
  Mr. Wright put in gear and drove away as the passenger's side window closes.
  Tumtum tried to forget all of it and got on his bike and started to where he should meet his brother's.
 
  On their way home on their bike's, Rocky's first question was ,, So? How was today then? ''
,, Better. Much better. '' Tumtum smiled.
  Colt looked from Tumtum to Rocky then back ,, Really? You look very happy. ''
,, Yeah. Like way happier then yesterday. '' Rocky claimed.
,, I know right. Billy got into detention today. '' Tumtum couldn't help but smiling.
  Rocky and Colts eyes got big and their jaws dropped ,, What? ''
,, No way! ''
,, Yep. '' Tumtum nodded as his smile was still on his face.
,, Wait. You didn't made anything up to make Billy in trouble. Did you? '' Rocky asked.
,, Nope. This time, principal Wright caught us both in an argument again; which at first, I bump into him again by an accident and Cecilia, who's in my grade and she went to tell principal Wright. '' Tumtum smiled at both of his brothers.
,, Wait. Cecelia? Cecilia Dawson? '' Colt mentioned.
,, Yeah. How did you know? ''
,, Her sister goes to our school and everybody calls her the outsider. '' Colt said.
,, Why? '' Tumtum asked.
,, Well apparently, like in every school there is; everyone has their own nickname in school. Even the 3 of us '' Rocky claimed.
  The 3 brother's got to the front of their house and parked their bikes next to the garage.
,, Oh and actually? There's something else that happened. '' Tumtum said stopping his brother's from walking up to the front door.
  Rocky and Colt waited for Tumtum to continue.
,, Mr. Wright came picking up Billy from school and he actually talked to me before Billy got there. '' Tumtum said.
,, Like, how did he talk to you? '' Rocky asked.
,, He greeted me friendly, like real friendly, and he told me to call him by his real name. Edgar. ''
,, And, what did you think about, why are you telling us this? '' Colt wondered.
,, Cause guys. I'm starting to wonder. Why hasn't Billy's mom appeared anywhere yet. I mean like Mrs. Sides? Is it obvious that Billy might not have a mother? Is that why he might be acting so weird? ''
  Rocky and Colt looked at each other ,, Omg Tumtum. You're a genius! '' Rocky smiled.
,, What? Why? ''
  Colt scoffed ,, Every child of a family member goes insane that has to do something with their parent. I mean, you know how you acted and felt when mom left school yesterday and she didn't wanted to believe you that you didn't started the fight. Right? ''
  Tumtum nodded.
,, You see? Maybe Billy must be going crazy or insane something about his mother. And since she hasn't appeared at the school yet... '' Rocky said.
  Tumtum thought a bit ,, But guy's. That's not all. I really want to get to know Billy more. Not just by bumping into him and getting in trouble all the time, I mean like really. I wanna see how this kid is really like. '' Tumtum said.
  Rocky and Colt looked at each other, knowing exactly what their brother was meaning. And yet, they surely are gonna do something about it.
