"There was once a time when people were worshipping stones; thinking that the God himself is in it as it is so strong. At that time hammers or sickles weren't invented. The giant rocks would be famed for a quality it possessed. However, soon people used the same stones to hunt; believing the power of God would grant them the flesh of even the mightiest creatures. And when the sharpness of the stone and not the believed power did the wonders, its praise got stronger. People were convinced that God with his power in the stone is blessing them with food and so the people of The Old started making tools with stones.

The masses enjoyed the flesh of different beasts for a very long while until one young and brilliant-minded man Kilmin tested hammering the hammer against a stone itself. Something neither the masses nor the people of The Old tried before. He tested it once in a corner; away from the dumb-minded. When he hit the hammer on the piece of stone for about the sixth time, the piece of stone cracked. And when Kilmin hit the stone again, the stone broke into pieces.

Kilmin then demonstrated this act in front of everyone while putting his life at risk. It was decided if any sort of mishap is created because of Kilmin's act, the people of The Old would kill him using the hammer itself; believing God himself will punish Kilmin for the hammer's misuse.

However, pretty soon Kilmin did break the stones and declared that the stones are not some Godly creation. It is just a stone, a piece of another huge stone. This discovery made by Kilmin opened their eyes. People used the stones as just stones and used them without thinking twice. They broke stones to make space and to make more tools. They would break more and more stones and make more and more tools.

However, there was an egg-sized red-colored stone that was about to be used for an ornament. But the problem was it wasn't breaking. It had some rough edges and so the masses wanted them gone but nothing was happening to the stone when it was hammered. Different people tried with different tools but it just didn't break. Nor did it crack. And this regained the masses' belief by that stone."

"Which stone was that mother?" the young son asked his mother.

The woman looked at his curious son and answered, with a smile
"It was the Humen Stone."

Niklaus woke up inhaling a deep breath. He was the last one to wake up among the Mikaelsons.
"Finally, you are up brother!" Elijah said to Niklaus; still scared. "I feared you left us."

"Oh, of course, he was going to wake up! We're immortals remember brother?" Kol commented in his regular arrogant manner. "But that doesn't mean I fancy getting my neck snapped like a dry branch. Once it was a dear mother and now our father. It pains like ass!"

"It's supposed to Kol. You die when you get your neck snapped. Death is never painless." Mikael said.

"Yeah but father, why did you kill us?" Finn asked.

"Because son, do you remember what stunt you all pulled? (They looked guilty) You killed 10 people! (They all looked shocked at that revelation) Yes, 10 people! Dried them of blood!" They all seemed very affected by this especially Finn. Finn was always a righteous person and believed in non-violence. And to hear he was a part of a mass-murdering got him speechless."

"I am sorry father. We couldn't control ourselves. The moment we smelled blood, we just lost control of our minds and wanted nothing but blood. We felt if we'll not drink blood, we'll die." Elijah explained.

"I know that! I have been through the same. And because of that, I got myself in some serious trouble. Fortunately, there were people of The Order to save me." Mikael said.

"The Order who?" Kol asked.

"Listen, children, we have already disturbed the equilibrium of nature so the people of The Equilibrium will be coming for us and we cannot risk everything with you all being out of control," Esther spoke up.
