“Now don’t be scared. The only thing you have to do is not look into their eyes. I know killing someone without looking into their eyes is no killing at all. But if you don’t want your eyeballs to melt and your blood coming out of them, then you better let your arrogance and ego down and think about survival. Okay?” Josephine told everyone while eating dinner on the large dining table. The table was set with marvelous finger-licking food made from fleshes of different animals.

“Okay, madam Josephine,” Elijah assured her that they got everything she said in their heads.

“Is it true that they can pull out our heart and kill us?”
Kol asked. Josephine nodded.
“You said we could only be killed with the White Oak,” Kol complained in a low voice to Mikael sitting beside him.

“Don’t worry. Only people like you can do that. Meaning only vampires can do that.” Josephine heard that and replied to Kol.

“But Madam Josephine, we have been told that people of The Equilibrium are not vampires but just people,” Elijah said confused.

“And what your father said is true and he also must have mentioned that not all of them are human. Half of them are witches.” Josephine replied.

“Complete half?” Niklaus asked in fear.

“Yes complete half and some of them even stronger than your mother,” Josephine replied. Niklaus gasped in shock and all of the Mikaelsons were shocked too. “Why you all didn’t know?”

“No madam Josephine,” Elijah answered.

“I don’t blame you. Mikael must’ve told you this when you were hungry for blood, right? (Mikaelsons nodded except Rebekah and Henrik) So stupid and yet so smart. Typical of you Mikael, you indeed haven’t changed by the habits as well.” Josephine said with a wink. Mikael chuckled at that.

Kol saw his mother uncomfortable sitting in front of him and so to avoid this topic, he asked Josephine
“So how is it any wrong if they are witches. They are just human with powers.” Kol commented.

“I see what Mikael meant in all these years. You are just like he mentions you. Never mistake underestimating witches. They are the most superior creation. And the reason how witches affect The Equilibrium is that they provide The Equilibrium enough temporal power to give them strength equal to yours whenever they want to fight. So our enemy may not be a vampire they have the strength of it.”

To clear the tension spread on the table Niklaus said to Rebekah,
“No rabbits here Rebekah.”

“Oh no, we don’t eat rabbits. Who would want to kill those adorable creatures?!” Josephine shared.

“Thank you!” Rebekah was glad someone thinks like her.
Everyone laughed.

After a few seconds, a man entered the huge hall and informed,
“Madam? (Josephine looked at him questioningly) They’re here.”

And so the sense of tension spread on the table, again.
“How many?” Josephine asked.

“More than we can count.” The man replied.

“And how many of us are available?” Josephine asked.

“Not enough.” The man replied; scared.
Josephine dropped the fork that was in her hand and stood up.

“Okay, inform everyone to be prepared. And please take Esther, Rebekah, and Henrik to the room of abundance and keep them safe at any cost.”

The man nods. “Esther, please take your children with you.”
