Sibling Face-Off

"Maria stop what you are doing, they are friends!" Ryomai commanded out in a tone that she had not yet used with the rest of the voyager crew. She knew that now they could see clearly who was in charge between the two of them. They saw that she wasn't the meek innocent child she had played off as being and she knew it confused them.

Maria turned to Ryomai and noticing her powered down form she raised her arms above her own however Ryomai ran to her and shook her head. "May I have a few moments alone with Maria?" she commanded of everyone in the room.

The Doctor gladly put on his mobile emitter and left the room. Janeway and Paris left as did the security officers who had been dumbfounded about how their weapons had been ineffective against Maria.

"What is going on here?" Maria asked Ryomai.

"The shuttle was damaged and we were hurtling through space. The shuttle is heavily damaged however I have not had a chance to attempt to repair the shuttle yet. These people want our help and us to explain some of our technology to them." Ryomai explained back

"And you agreed?" Maria hissed and slapped her hand against her helmet.

"I didn't have a choice, I had to do something I woke up here in their sickbay and they were going to try and cut our suits off of us." Ryomai shook her head.

"You should have let them try!" Maria shook her head, "what have you told them?"

"Not much, I have kept stalling for time, I have told them little trivial things like how we met and a little bit about how our society works. I also mentioned that we had contact with Earth back in their twentieth century." Ryomai explained trying to make peace.

"They are Starfleet, it would be horrible if they found our planet, they wouldn't understand us at all, we may be human but they would be scared about what we have also become. You have been careful not to use your telekinesis?" Maria asked calming.

"Before you relax too much you should know that there is someone on board this ship that resembles you," Ryomai announced which caused Maria to snap her head in a sharp glare and tense her body.

"There is someone who looks like me?" Maria asked trying to stay cool but Ryomai could hear the tenseness straining to come out.

"Why is that a bad thing?" Ryomai asked, "people can look similar to each other, maybe you two are just distant relatives or something, it happens."

"I never told you Ryomai but I have a twin sister. I only know this because my grandparents and brother told me." Maria shook her head, "It was never a big deal because the likelihood that we would meet was very slim seeing as how separate our lives are from that of the Federation."

Ryomai nodded, "But now it may cause trouble because it is going to raise questions. And if the federation finds out that illegal citizens are joining their alliance they will seek us out."

"How long do you think you can stay in your suit?" Ryomai asked as she tried to find a way out.

Maria shook her head, "I need to demorph soon. I can already feel the wear of using this much energy without exerting any force."

"We have no choice then but to reveal your identity. I think though that the captain of this ship will be sympathetic. They are lost and at this point, it will still take them most of their lifetime to get home. These ships don't travel as fast as our own."

"I guess if they help us out we could probably trade with them to keep our identities somewhat a secret by helping them get closer to Earth." Maria acknowledged.
