Icheb turned to Seven, "It is time to go get our evening meal Seven will you join me?"

Seven attempted to ignore him and continued to work but when Icheb stood in her way and wouldn't move she spoke, "I missed so much time dealing with the captain's and doctor's requests today that I need to put in some more work and will grab my supplement later."

"Seven, You can come after dinner and work if you need to but you know the doctor has been concerned about the number of meals you skip and that you must get into a better more healthy routine that your human metabolism requires you to be consistent so that it doesn't starve."

Seven raised her implant knowing that she had been bested by her protege. She locked down her console and followed the eager younger former drone. It was almost as if he was expecting to see someone in the mess hall.

When they arrived seven immediately noticed that the lighting was dimmed and the tables were rearranged with several pushed together forming larger tables. There was also music playing that was had strange lyrics but for some reason, she understood them but not through her universal translator form within her body the words flowed to her. It was unsettling but she made sure Icheb nor any of the crew could see this as she confidently strode into the mess hall.

Neelix greeted them "Welcome Seven and Icheb or rather should I say; Has the day been good to you?" Neelix smiled, "Ryomai taught me that it is a translation of their typical evening greeting on KO-35. In honor of our new guests, I have managed to prepare two of their favorite dishes as well as try to blend Kerovian comfort into our mess hall."

Icheb looked at the two choices, "Which one is the most nutritionally sound?"

Neelix paused for a moment, "they both have ample vegetables, and oh here try the Booshdah it has actual meat and not the same fat content as the caseeni has because of the gravy." Neelix passed over two large bowls of the soup and a hard flat piece of bread on a tray. "The tables are arranged in groups because I was told it was common for small groups to sit with other groups even in public."

Icheb paused and looked around at the partially full tables. Looking for two seats available. He found a completely unoccupied table. Once they were sitting Tom came over, "So Seven how does it feel to be surrounded by your people?"

Seven just continued eating her food and didn't pay the lieutenant any mind.

"OK, well I will just be over at the next table eating with B'Elanna, Harry, and the Delaney sisters. I am enjoying this co-eating situation because I am eating with people I haven't eaten with in quite a while."

After Tom walked away Icheb leaned over, "what did he mean by your own people?"

"We will not be discussing this topic further as it is hardly applicable and is more the Lieutenant running his mouth as he is known to do."

At that moment Ryomai walked in followed by a security guard. Grabbing a plate of Caseeni from Neelix she nodded her head and responded "The Day has been very kind thank you for asking."

Icheb watched as she wandered over towards their table, "Icheb has the day been kind to you?"

Icheb nodded, "I got a lot of my studies in astrometrics done today so it was efficient."

"That is very good to hear, may I sit at this table and join your meal?" Ryomai inquired with a soft smile.

Icheb noticed that Seven appeared to cringe but a glance around revealed that many of the tables had filled in around them with normal groups trying to enjoy their meals together, "It appears that this table has the most free spots available so yes you may join us."
