State of Denial

 Seven looked at Icheb, "You will continue working on your daily tasks I will return shortly."

"Yes, Seven." Icheb nodded as he moved to another console to open his tasks folder as Seven left the room and made her way to sickbay.

Walking into Sickbay she saw the doctor and the captain sitting in the office. Going in to join them, "What have your scans revealed?"

The doctor stood up, "You and Maria are a 99.9% genetic match which is astounding even for identical twins as often those that are considered identical and monozygotic often have slightly different genetic results. You are however not Identical twins."

"She is a clone then?" Seven replied stoically.

"No she is not a clone and the largest factor for that is the fact that she has a rare disorder which cannot be cloned at least not to the point of adulthood. She has Situs Invertus which means her organs are transversed."

Captain Janeway took over, "She is your mirror twin Seven."

Seven looked at the scans, "Are you positive?"

"I ran the tests multiple times and I scanned her genetic structure numerous times to find any evidence of genetic tampering. Ultimately though the fact of the Situs Invertus has cemented this fact more than anything else."

"Chell to Captain Janeway"

"Janeway here" Janeway replied as she tapped her combadge.

"I have just been informed that our guest has awoken," Chell responded over the com.

"Understood. Janeway out." Janeway closed the channel.

"Seven what do you say we go and pay her a visit and find out their side of the story," Janeway asked the former drone.

"I should be getting back to Icheb I told him I would return shortly."

Janeway shook her head, "You are not getting out of this that easily. While you were coming up here I checked with him and found that you have left him with plenty of work as you usually do. Icheb has a good head on his shoulders and is capable of doing his own work."

Seven nodded and followed the captain up to the guests' quarters knowing that Icheb wasn't going to get her out of discussing this a second time today.

Arriving at the doors of the quarters the captain announced their presence. The door opened and Ryomai allowed them in. "Please have a seat. Maria is in the shower. It took us a few minutes to figure out how it worked. Our ship has showers that use water and on our planet, we often bathe in thermal pools."

Maria stepped out of the bathroom wearing black leggings and a green tunic. Her brown hair was styled in a loose up-do, "It took me a while to figure out how to style my hair without my hair being wet.

Ryomai laughed, "Maria you would think you were pink with how girly you get."

"I am sorry my hair does not like to go into one place when it is dry." Maria scowled as she noticed Seven and the Captain in the room.

"I am sorry, you had to witness that." Maria apologized as she quickly grabbed a cup from the table and came over to sit next to Ryomai. "Your Doctor didn't come? I have yet to apologize for wielding that scalpel earlier."

Janeway laughed and was about to speak when Ryomai spoke up, "That scalpel wouldn't have done anything except get the doctor mad and the security force try and take you down."

Maria raised her eyebrow in a very familiar fashion.

"The doctor is a hologram. He isn't flesh and blood so all you'd do is disrupt his projection." Ryomai said with a laugh.
