saturday, august 21, 9:18 am.
bell woke up to the sound of her alarm blaring right in her ear. she rolled around in bed for a moment or so before reaching her arm over and slapping the snooze button. once all alarms were turned off, she sat up.
the morning was like any other; sun shining down and nurturing the plants, a gentle birdsong in the wind. a car or bike passed by every now and then. however, this day was also drastically different from the others.
today was the duel with dream.
with a slight huff, bell stood from her bed and meandered over to her dresser. she set her phone down on the wood, listening to it buzz every now and then. her still slightly tired mind told her to ignore the device and look for an outfit.
seeing as it was still summer, bell settled on a skirt and light sweater. monochromatic, too. she stepped into the skirt before slipping her sweater over her head. admiring herself in her full length mirror, she picked a piece of lint off of her sweater. with a small smile, she headed downstairs.

silas was sat on the couch. when he heard bell approach, he looked up from his book and smiled at her.
"good morning, bell! dads out, you should eat something. can you play yugioh later?" he asked, taking a bite of his toaster waffle.
bell frowned; she was supposed to be dueling dream today.
that was one of the downsides to her situation; her brother absolutely adored the dream smp. he watched every stream he could, and kept a close eye on lore related things. he even followed mark on twitch. he didn't know it was mark, though. now, with bell's opportunity to join the smp, she ran the risk of exposing mark's identity. along with that, she didn't want her brother to get caught in the public eye since he was so young.
even though mark had explained that he was okay with silas knowing about his online persona, it still stressed bell out. it shouldn't have, but it did.
