High school student ~A Longmire Story~

   The next day approaches, and Ash was in math class. She sees a boy in front of her. His name is Gabriel Jones. She looks in his bag and sees a gun. A handgun. She saw the bullets. It's the same bullets that killed Emma. She went up to Mrs. Kent. They walked into the hall.

    "Gabriel Jones has a gun." Ash said.

   Mrs. Kent took it seriously and had police come. Mathias came and went in. Gabriel starts talking and admitted to killing Emma when Mathias found the gun.

    "You put children in danger. You put my daughter in danger." Mathias said. "I feel bad that you were bullied, I do. But it doesn't give you the right to get revenge by killing those who hurt you."

     Gabriel was taken away by another Tribal Police, and Mathias came over to Ash and held her closely. He left, and school ended early because of this situation. Ash won't to Kelsey and Mila.

      "It was Gabriel Jones." Ash said. "He admitted to my dad to killing Emma."
      "Emma can rest." Mila said. "She can rest, knowing justice has been served."

    Jen came over.

       "It was Gabriel Jones." Ash said. "He's the one who killed Emma."
       "Thank god!" Jen said, relieved. "Emma can rest. Justice has been served."

   They all hugged, and Mathias came back to pick Ash up. Saturday came, and Emma's funeral came. Ash was asked to do a speech.

     "Hi! I'm Ash." Ash said. "I guess I start from the beginning. I came from durant. I'm not Cheyenne, but I was taken in by a Cheyenne. The Tribal Chief himself, Mathias. When I came into school me and Emma didn't like each other at first. I've became friends with Mila and Lily. Lily rest in peace. And Emma and Kelsey, who I didn't get along at first too. I will admit that too. You can say we were enemies at first but when Mila, Kelsey, and Emma, heard about Lily they came up to me and came through. Especially Emma. Me and Emma were always talking about guys. Sorry dad. And when we were walking home that fateful day, we had no idea that tragedy was gonna follow us and that Emma is gonna be taken away so cruelly and unexpectedly. For someone to take her life so soon because they didn't have a good life is appalling to me and too all of us who knew her either personally or through her beautiful mom, knew what a kind, big-hearted girl she was. I made a video of her with Celine Dion's song My heart will go on, and this speaks volumes. Her heart will go on through us. My dad, Mathias helped me with this and I burned a CD for you, Jen, and also Mila and Kelsey. Thank you."

     Ash sat next to Mathias and he held her hand as they watched the tribute video. After the funeral Jen came over and hugged Ash. The girls all hugged Jen.

      "That video is beautiful." Jen said. "Emma would've loved this funeral."
      "She would." Ash said.

   They all went home and Mathias hugged her, saying how proud he is of her.
