IT WAS A LITTLE AFTER MIDNIGHT WHEN AURORA RECEIVED atext from ray telling her to meet him at the man cave, alongside henry, jasper, and charlotte. she was confused as to why, especially at this hour, but she went regardless. it's not like she was doing anything anyways. aurora was passing the time by watching some ridiculous movie on tv. she arrived to the man cave at the same time as charlotte and henry. they were pacing around anxiously as they tried figuring out why ray called for them on a late night.
"why would he want us here after midnight on a thursday?" henry asked.
"i don't know, but if it's because he had a bad dream again, i am not gonna sing him a lullaby this time,"charlotte told.
"maybe it's an emergency," aurora suggested. "like maybe he—"
she was cut off by the elevator opening and jasper coming out of it with his american flag onesie and curlers in his hair, "i'm here!"
aurora, charlotte, and henry stared at him.
"that's," henry pointed at jasper, "an emergency."
"are you... why would... curlers?!" charlotte exclaimed as she walked towards jasper.
"what, you thought my hair was naturally curly?" jasper scoffed.
"my trust issues just got worse," aurora commented.
the alarm beeped and the tube shot down. they all watched as ray appeared. "heyyy," ray greeted with a huge smile. "hello, friends. welcome," he grabbed aurora's shoulders, "welcome!"
"uh, sure." "yeah." "alright." "yeah, hey."
"and now... i want to introduce you guys to someone very special," the alarm beeped again and a woman appeared from the tube.
aurora leaned to her friends, "who's that?"
"i don't know," henry whispered, "it looks like a woman."
"yeah," jasper nodded. aurora and charlotte shared a look and rolled their eyes at the two.
"everyone," ray began, "this is gwen." he wrapped his arms around her waist as she wrapped hers around his shoulders, "hi guys," gwen greeted.
