THE BLARING OF AN ALARM STARTLED AURORA AWAKE. HER hand automatically reached for her phone on her nightstand. she squinted her eyes as the full brightness of the screen temporarily blinded her. "oh my god," aurora mumbled under breath as she immediately sat up. it was the doomsday signal. aurora hurriedly got out of bed to find her slippers before geoleaping to the man cave. the alarm continued to echo around the man cave, but there was no one in sight.
"ray!" aurora shouted, "ray, where are you?"
aurora turned into the direction of the tubes where henry just got down from. "rory," henry called as he walked over to her, "where's ray?"
"i don't know! he's not here!" aurora panicked.
"yo ray! ray where are you?! ray!"
the elevator opened and charlotte and jasper came rushing in, "aurora, henry!"
"charlotte! have you seen ray?" henry asked.
"no, where is he?!"
"i don't know!"
"well he's gotta be around here somewhere!" jasper stated. the four ran around the man cave yelling their boss's name in panic. the secret door opens and ray comes out wearing an apron and wheeling a cart with a plate. he turns off the alarm before turning to the teens, "who wants a snaaaaaack?"
"i began your pardon," aurora adjured.
"who wants a snack?" ray repeated with a smile still on his face.
"dude!" henry threw his hands up in disbelief.
"i got this," aurora said calmly before marching up to ray, "hey!"
"heyyy!" ray greeted back with a grin.
"it's ten minutes after midnight!" aurora stated.
"yeah," ray confirmed.
"you woke us up in the middle of the night just to ask if we want a snack?" aurora stressed, "why the heck did you send us the doomsday signal?!"
"cause i wanted to make sure you guys all came over," ray replied.
