Pansy and Harry had got a week's detention from Snape for wasting his time. Draco on the other hand got a firm talking to about how to keep his friends in line. With all the commotion the two had caused Draco had almost forgotten about the potion he buried. That was until a nasty storm hit, not even a full day following the break in at Ravenclaw tower. It had been almost a month since he buried the potion. He had recited the incantation every evening since that day. Dressing himself in his poncho, Draco headed out into the sideways rain, the wind fiercely pushing him side to side. Being the stubborn boy was he pushed right back, ever so slowly making his way towards the forbidden forest.

Once he had arrived he took shelter under the trees, waiting for lightning to strike because only then would the potion work. Fiddling with his robes he patiently waited for what felt like an eternity. He heaved a sigh, the reality was he barely been there 10 minutes and he was becoming pissed off because he wasn't patient. "Crack" Lightning hit a tree nearby. Draco smiled and began to unearth the potion. Just as the instructions said the potion was a brilliant crimson color. Not wanting to jostle the potion before the final step, he figured he would just do his first transformation in the forest. He held up the phial to the moon, The crimson liquid casting an eerie red glow on to his face.

He pulled off the rubber cork, downing the potion.Taking out his wand he began the chant. The one he had recited every evening till this point. Focusing hard he called out to his animal, this would be the first time he had met his animal. A glowing creature began to appear in his thoughts. He continued to recite as he reached out to the glowing creature. When it reached him in his mind, he felt his body begin to change. It was incredibly uncomfortable and slightly painful. He focused on the glowing creature wanting the first transformation to be a success. When the uncomfort and pain dissipated Draco felt completely different.

He looked down and saw small white paws. " wait, am I a ferret?" He thought, wildly looking around for something he could see his reflection in.It would be mortifying if after all these years Weasley and potter had been right. That he was in fact a ferret. Spotting a puddle, he rushed over to it almost tripping over his own path. He looked down at the water and let out a sigh of relief. He wasn't a ferret. He was a porcelain white kitten with gray eyes. " I am adorable," he thought while examining his reflection. He decided to go find Pansy and mess with her a bit. Maybe Potter too. He smirked inwardly, ready to cost some confusion, maybe listen in on a few conversations. He sauntered to Hagrid's and then up the path to Hogwarts, even though he was drenched in the progress. Getting cold Draco begin to pick up the pace.

The stairs into the building were high and he had to climb each individually. Even though there were only six steps, each one made him more exhausted, him being wet and cold didn't help. A nap sounds really good, preferably by a fireplace. He remembered that there was a fireplace at Gryffindor tower, that meant more stairs though. Considering all his options had stairs involved he might as well just keep moving. Of course, he had to be a tiny kitten in a giant castle full of stairs. He climbed the stairs till he couldn't climb anymore. His legs were sore and he was exhausted. Finding a niche in the wall he curled up and closed his eyes, drifting to sleep.

"Kitten, are you OK kitty?" A voice asked. Draco awoke startled by the voice. His eyes adjusted and met a pair of green ones. " Potter, why did he have to find me being pitiful?" Draco thought angrily. "Hey Potter, take me to your fireplace would you," Draco demanded slightly. "What's wrong kitty?" Potter asked, that's right normal people couldn't speak to cats. Draco mentally facepalmed for being so stupid. " do you want me to take you somewhere more comfortable, until we find your owner?" Draco nodded, which made Potter's face to flash with confusion. "Up we go" he said, obviously shaking off the computer. He picked up Draco holding him close to his chest. "How utterly mortifying," Draco thought As the dark-haired male carried him, as a kitten, up the stairs.
