"Did I miss something? Is Ashleigh ok?" She worried. I began to cry a little softer and Michael's hand picked my chin up. He looked at me in the eyes. "Ashleigh, everything will be ok, I promise." He wiped my tears away.
Lunch was ending and people were leaving. "I will see you guys later. Bye!" Cassandra ran out to the hallway. There were only a few people left in the cafeteria. My tears were stopping and Michael smiled. Our eyes met. His green eyes and my blue eyes stared as we moved closer to each other. Michael put cupped my face with his hands and I was led into a kiss. It felt good and I kissed him back. I didn't want to let go, but I knew it was wrong. I promised I wouldn't do anything. I pulled back and my lips were instantly joined with Michael's again.
After about five seconds, we were broken apart by a tall blonde. Luke. His eyes showed anger and I swear I could see smoke forming out of his ears. He was breathing heavily and I just stared at him.
I looked over at Michael. "Run Michael. Please." I warned him. He did as I told him and ran.
"I will deal with you later, Ashleigh! But for now, go to class!" Luke spoke through gritted teeth.

The school day ended, and I didn't even walk home with Luke. I stayed after school to watch Louis play soccer. Louis had always been really good at soccer and I loved watching him.
I was sitting on the bleachers for a little while. Suddenly, Michael appeared. "Hey Ashleigh. Listen, I'm sorry. I know Luke hates me now and he doesn't want me with you. I'm really sorry. It's just-" I covered his mouth to stop him. "Michael, it's fine. Luke's just being a huge dick. He has no right to tell me who I can be with or who I cant. You're really nice and comforting. Trust me, Luke is mad at me more than he is mad at you. That's why I'm here and not at home." I paused. Michael looked understanding and he nodded. He gave me a smirk. It was really cute.
I think I have a crush on Michael, but like I said before, I don't know what a crush is anymore. Michael and I sat on the bleachers doing homework and other things. Calum played soccer, too, but he wasn't at this practice. Michael probably wouldn't be here if Calum came.
I looked over to see Michael struggling with his History. I watched as he bit on his lip, which was really cute, and he sighed a few times.
-
After an hour of homework and watching the soccer players, I saw a blonde boy stomping his way towards Michael and me. "Oh no. Michael, Luke's coming. What do we do?" I watched as Luke got closer to us. Michael just stared with his mouth hung open. "Should I go?" He asked. "No, I have a plan. Just play along with me on this. Okay?" He nodded.
"Ashleigh Rose Hemmings! You're coming home right now! And Michael, you stay away from my sist-" I cut him off. "No Luke. You know what? I thought you actually cared about me! You were the only one in our family that loved me and now? I don't even know what happened to you! Why can't you let me make friends or hang out with people? Why are you so protective? I'm fourteen, Luke! I can take care of myself!" I began to cry. I got up and grabbed Michael's hand and we ran away.
We stopped at the softball field and went in the away team's dugout. Michael wrapped an arm around me and wiped my tears away. As he did so, Luke appeared. Surprise?
"Ashleigh, stop running away! If you come home then maybe we could talk." Luke started becoming more calm.
"Lucas, she doesn't want to talk to you. In fact, she's mad at you. And for me. What the hell is wrong with you? I thought we were mates! Don't expect me at any band practices ever again. Fuck you, Luke!" I looked up at Michael. Then, I looked at Luke. Michael was becoming the mad one and Luke was becoming the sad one. Me? I didnt know what I anymore. I was a lot of mixed emotions. "Ash, I'm sorry." I looked at Luke, I was confused. "No Luke, you can't be bipolar like that! You can't just change from mad to comforting and understanding within a minute. You always said you wanted me to do and have what made me happy. Michael actually makes me happy. I'm calling mom. I'm probably going to spend the night at Louis'." I got up, walked away, and Michael followed.
That must've worked, because Luke didn't follow. We went back to the soccer field and they were almost done with practice. We sat back down on the bleachers for a few minutes. I got my phone out and called my mother. She understood and let me stay at Louis' house.
When soccer practice ended, I walked up to Louis. He was with his mate, Niall. "Hey Lou, can I stay at yours tonight? Luke's being a dick." I asked. Louis looked at me with a smile. "Of course, love. Do you need anything?" I giggled at his reply and shook my head no.

Michael had to go home at 5, so now it was me, Louis and Niall. Louis drove us to his house. I sat in the back, Niall sat in the passengers seat, and of course, Louis was the driver. It was a really nice drive until the car stopped.
A/N: Sorry. Chapter 6 was so long that It would be 23 pages, so I made it two parted. Chapter 7 probably won't be up until next week. Maybe Wednesday. A lot happened in these parts of chapter 6. Can we all just take a moment for Michael.
