House of Answers/House of Death

"So, where's Nina?" Chris asked. "She's getting dressed." Everybody goes silent, and demons line up on the stairs waiting for her to come down.

Alternate Nina came down in a sliver dress leading to her knees. She smiles as she goes down the stairs, and Chris smiled at her. A demon took her hand, and helped her down. "Thank you, thank you!" Chris smiled at her, and walked toward alternate Nina.

"Nina," Chris was breathless, "you look beautiful." He complimented. She scoffed. "I don't want your compliments, Chris."

Alternate Nina tried to walk away, but Chris violently grabbed her wrist. "We're married, Nina." Alternate Nina chuckled. She snatched her wrist away. "Never had you penned as the abusive type, Chris. Then again, you were a hitman for...who knows how many centuries."

"Why are you acting this way?" Chris wondered.

"Are you seriously asking me this? You've taken away every single person that I have loved deeply in my whole life. You killed my fiancé. You took my friend's soul and you're letting his wife live a miserable life. For the rest of her life. You forced me into this marriage. I will never love you."

"Nina, I've always given you a choice."

"You said you would kill my Gran if I refused to marry you. You don't know what love is, Chris." Alternate Nina walked over to a random guy, whispered in his ear, and walked off with him.

Chris walked over to one of his right-hand mans. "What's the problem? I thought we were married."

"You both have your affairs. Remember?"

Chris saw alternate Nina and the guy she was talking to. He saw them go upstairs. "Where are they going?"

Chris followed them.

"Y-you guys...you're alive?"

"No. It's an alternate version of them. From an alternate reality." Alternate Patricia widened her eyes.

"Yeah. It's a lot to take in. I just came here because they needed some answers. They want to know what happened."

Alternate Patricia shook her head. "How can you sit there and pretend like we didn't matter, Eddie?"

Eddie frowned at her. "Of course, you mattered Patricia! Every time I'm away from you you're on my mind. Every second of every day. And it hurts so much because I can't be with you. Every moment I spend with Chris, I want him dead more and more, but I can't do anything because of you. If Chris dies, his men will come after you. I want it to go away so much. Sometimes I wish that we never fell in love, but that means my whole heart will be taken away from me. If my heart is taken away from me then Chris wins. And I refuse to let him have that satisfaction."

Alternate Patricia gulped. "I love you." Alternate Eddie nodded. "I know."

Alternate Eddie sniffled. He wiped his tears and gestured toward alternate Patricia. "Tell them the story, Yacker. Help them get home. I have to get back to Chris."

Alternate Eddie flashed out. "So what happened?"

Alternate Patricia sighed. "About a couple of months ago," She started off, "Nina tried to vanquish Chris. When Chris came back, Nina was terrified of what he would do to us.. She made the anti-Malachi concoction and went after him. Alone."
