❝  BUT SHE CAUGHT ME ON THE COUNTER.

"It wasn't me."

"Saw me bangin' on the sofa."

"It wasn't me." Sang Cassie and the youngest of the foster family, as Cassie dried the dishes to pass back to Freddy.

"I even had her in the shower." Cassie continued, nodding her head to the melody of Shaggy's "It Wasn't Me," as Darla copied her motions.

"It wasn't me."

"She even caught me on camera."

"It wasn't me." Darla danced.

"Maybe it's not the best idea to sing this song with the little kid in the room." Freddy suggested to his twin, who scoffed.

"Exactly, she's little, she doesn't know what it means." Cassie, still drying a plate, turned to Darla. "Darla, hun, what's this song about?"

"About doing it all over the house and not getting caught." The explanation from the young girl made Cassie's eyes widen and Freddy's mouth twitch into a smirk.

"Doesn't know, huh?"

"Shut up. Darla, how about you go make another poster, I'm sure that will make Billy feel better when he comes back." Cassie said as Darla speeded away to get started. It had been hours after Billy's rescue of the twins, but he still hadn't returned.

"Yes, officer, I'm aware he's run away in the past, I... 23 times?" She could hear Rosa on the phone, worry present in her voice.

"You know guys, me and Cass are happy to look for Billy. More than happy. Then you gotta wash the dishes, that's what's more important." Freddy spoke, making Cassie smile.

"What are you gonna do, Freddy? Run after him?" She teased as she walked to the fridge.

"Run after him? Ha-ha-ha! Very funny!" Cassie rolled her eyes at her brother's known sarcasm. "Ahh! Ahhhhhhh! Cass, Cass, help!" Cassie felt her brother tightly wrapping his arms around her waist.

"What are you doing weirdo- Oh shit! Ahhhhh!" She screamed as the twins' gaze fell upon the older man in front of the glass.

"No, wait, don't scream!" The man spoke, referring to his sign.

"Uh, Victor! Victor!"

"Hello?! Victor!"

"It's me! It's Billy! It's Billy!" The man confessed as the scared faces of the two stayed the same. "You asked me, "Flight or invisibility?" I thought that was stupid, but now I look like this and I need your help! Meet me back here after lights out?" He said as he walked away while Victor walked over to the kitchen.

"What's up, bud? Cass? You both all right?" Victor asked, placing his hand onto Freddy's shoulder.

"Yeah. Yeah. I'm just... I'm really... sad. Because Billy's gone." Freddy lied as his face gave a frown to sell it more. "And you know, maybe it's my fault. Maybe I did it. Uh, you know, maybe I-I snore."
