The leaves crunched beneath her feet with every step she took. The wind brushed against her skin. The young girl raced through the crowded streets of Asgard, not daring to look back. She didn't want to risk it. She carefully yet skillfully weaved through the crowd, making sure not to knock into anyone. She turned a sharp corner and saw a small stack of crates in her path. She grinned and began to pick up speed, then she leaped into the air.

"Watch out!" A voice yelled out to her. Her feet narrowly avoided the crates and within seconds came in contact with the gravel on the ground. She let out a chuckle as she continued running through the streets. She was untouchable. Nothing could stand in her way. Nothing could ruin this moment.

That was until a boy crashed into her.

The two tumbled onto the ground, her knee scrapping the concrete breaking a layer of skin. She let out a pained groan as she felt the burning sensation in her knee. She moved her disheveled hair from her face before she glared at the boy.

"Watch where you're going, Thor!" She growled. The blonde boy let out a small groan as he slowly pushed himself from the ground before settling on his right elbow.

"You were the one who ran into me," he challenged. He watched as Bellona placed a gentle hand on her knee, examining the scratch. Her skin was raw and she watched as blood slowly rose to the surface.

"I think we lost Discordia," she said quietly. She looked up at Thor and shook her head. "I told you it wasn't a good idea to dump water from the tower."

"I didn't think she would show up with Loki. I'm not all-seeing like Heimdall," he retorted. His eyes stayed on her cut and he couldn't help but frown. "I think we should take you to the infirmary."

"It's not that bad, just a small scratch I'll be fine." With that, Bellona stood up. She winced once she felt a sharp pain in her knee but shook it off. "See, good as new." She began walking back to the castle, but each step caused more pain. She tried her best to hide the limp but he still noticed.

"It could get infected," he called after her. He pushed himself off the ground and followed after her. He placed a hand on her back and arm, attempting to help put some of the weight on him. "I know someone in the markets. They'll have you as good as new without our parents knowing what we've been up to."

"I don't need anyone's help," she challenged, trying to free her arm from his grasp. He sighed slightly.

"You don't always need to fight with everyone, Bellona. Just let me help," he pleaded. His eyes softened as they met with hers. By instinct, she wanted to fight with him. But the pain in her knee grew and made her leg feel almost numb. She didn't think she could stand it on the walk back to the castle.

"Fine," she agreed. "But for all this trouble, I want the best gingerbread Asgard has to offer...or else I'll tell Frigga about what you've done to both daughters of Jupiter," she grinned. Thor let out a small chuckle before nodding in agreement.

"I thought the Goddess of War was better than that?" Sif called out to Bellona. Bellona let out a pained groan as she slowly lifted herself from the ground and glared at the woman who stood before her.

"I'm going easy on you," she challenged. They had been training all morning, hardly without a break in between. Bellona understood why. The Asgardians were the only ones capable of bringing peace among the nine realms and they were getting beat in a challenging and growing war.

The Asgardian held her hand out to Bellona, which she accepted after a moment, then lifted her onto her feet again. "Don't hold back. Show me what you've got."
