Kaito's POV.
I walked in Maki's dorm, "Hey Maki, do you wanna train with me and Shu-" Maki turned to face me, "What?" she asked. I looked her up and down, seeing the many scars on her body. Maki's eyes widened and she began to try and cover up all her scars. She seemed to have tears in her eyes that slightly glistening from the lamp. "Maki roll what wrong?" I asked.
"Why do I look so ugly?" she asked. My eyes widened and I quickly walked over to her. "What are you talking about you don't look ugly!" I exclaimed. Maki pointed at the scars on her arms and legs. "But these are here..." I grabbed her shoulders and made her look at me.
"Listen up butter cup! Just because you have scars it doesn't mean your ugly!" She looked at me confused. "What do you mean? It makes me look unattractive" I shook my head and pulled Maki into a hug. "I think scars show your bravery and strength, so, in my eyes, you're strong and brave. If someone tells you otherwise then they're wrong" I felt Maki's grip on me tighten and I felt my shirt get wet, she was crying.
"Hey what's wrong!?" I exclaimed as Maki wiped her tears. "Thank you" I nodded and picked her up. I threw her onto her bed and sat next to her."You can also make constellations!" I showed her how she could use her scars as stars. She traced her fingers along her leg and smiled at me. I kissed her and laid her head on my shoulder. "I love you"
