Techno walked along side me, his pink hair in a braid that rested on his shoulder. Two stands had fallen out of the style and messily fell in his eyes that he continually had to brush away. He listened to my ramble.

"I'm so sorry about Tommy, he's just very clingy and loyal to me. I'm sorry that you had to leave like that, I shouldn't have brought you along in the first place, it was my fault and-"

"You've really ought to stop apologizing. I chose to come along, and I expected Tommy to be all pissy anyways." He smiled at the last part of that sentence, probably reminiscing on times before Tommy grew infuriated at the very sight of him.

"Hmm I guess. Welp here we are!" We stood at the front of my base.

"Y/n this is a stone wall." He looked over at me, I smirked at him.

"Is it now?" I reached behind some vines and flipped the hidden lever. The ground vibrated with the force of the wall slowly pulling open and the space of my home was revealed. The warmth of it seeping out, and I quickly ushered Techno inside.

I walked inside, hearing another heavy pair of steps follow behind and moved to flip the lever from the inside. The door once again hid the glory that was my home.

"Y/n this is actually sick." Techno looked around the space, verbally showing his admiration. I had been grinding for a good while; potions and armor lined the room.

I smiled at his amazement and walked into my living quarters. I sat on the couch and felt it dip next to me.

Techno and I had been talking for a good while before we felt the rumbling of the door open. He met my eyes in confusion and I shared the same look.

"Y/n where are you?" Wilbur dragged out the last word. The clacks of his feet against the stone grew closer and the door swung open. I saw his grin and furrowed my brows.

"Wilbur?"

"What is he doing here?" His smirk faded and his eyes glared at Technoblade.

"I was just leaving." Techno quickly moved off the couch and to Wilbur. He stopped just in front of him, his eyes raked up and down his frame before he continued walking, bumping into Wilbur's shoulder as if he was merely an inconvenience. He clearly was avoiding conflict, if only for my sake.

The door shut behind him. Wilbur turned to me angry.

"What's he doing here?"

"We were hanging out Wilbur."

"So do you like him now? Leading me on?"

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize I wasn't allowed to have friends. Even if I did, that's not your business, and I don't owe you anything. Why are you acting like this? Techno and I have always been friends."

"I'm only looking out for you. Why would you show him your base? He's a traitor Y/n."

"So are you!"

"That's different."

"It's not! I trusted you Wilbur! I already put my faith in a traitor. Why am I the bad guy here? God, I feel like everyone keeps blaming me for shit that's not my fault. I didn't expect you to betray me, to betray us."

My hands covered my face and I laid back against the couch. Sobs tumbled out of my lips and Wilbur stood there silently stunned. He shuffled over closer and his hand rested on my shoulder.

"Y/n, when will you understand that I didn't betray you. It wasn't about anyone but myself, it was my unfinished symphony. I had to."

"You didn't have to do anything!" My hands flew from my face and fell to my thighs with a slap. I looked at him in disbelief before continuing.

"You didn't even talk to me about it, you just decided to take the fate of the country and burden it upon your shoulders!" I stood from the couch.

"IT WAS MINE! You would have never agreed to such a plan!"

"How could you have known that? You never asked! I would have done anything for you Wilbur, we could have been traitors together!"

His voice went soft. "What?"

"It doesn't matter anymore because you've already fucked it up." I turn away from him.

"Wait." His hand closed around my wrist, tugging me back gently.

"L'Manburg was all of ours. I would've done anything for you if you had asked."

"Would've?"

"Yes. Would've. You've ruined whatever trust I had for you Wilbur; you can't get it back so simply."

"I'll do anything to earn it back Y/n."

I cocked my head at him. "And what makes you think that I'm just going to forgive you that easily."

His hand landed on my chin, tilting it slightly up to meet our eyes. His lips pulled into a smirk. He leaned in closer and stopped just before our lips met to speak in a whisper.

"Because you didn't kill me." He pulled away. "We will be together again Y/n."
