Purvi was in a deep sleep, as she stretched to the left side of the bed as she stretched her leg when she was woken up by a sudden noise. She unwantedly woke up to attend her phone, as she said,
'kya hai!'
'tumse pyaar, meri jaan..'
Purvi woke up as she recognized the voice and checked the caller id, it was obviously kavin. But what added to her shock was him waving from outside the window of her bedroom,
'what are you doing!' purvi yelled in a whispering tone.
'yeh tumhare liye..' said kavin, she looked at the dahi bhalla dabba of singla's he handed to her.
'yeh...' she said as she remembered..
'waise, why are you so desperate for the wedding to happen in the single banquet hall?' asked kavin
'you know wahan ka dhai bhalla?'
'hmm..it's tasty..'
'haan, but, actually before dad left us, humare saath woh aakhri baar massi ki shaadi mein the. I remember as a little girl unable to pick anything from those giant counters...tabhi papa peche se aaye, pyaar se godh mein uthaya, aur phir woh dhai bhalla khilaya unhone...ab papa toh milte nahi, socha tha kabhi wahi khaane ko mil jaayein uss banquet hall mein..' said purvi as she looked down as a tiny tear escaped her eye, while kavin got an idea..
'ab jab bhi dhai bhalle ke baarein mein sochogi toh yaad karna humare pyaar ko, naaki iss baat ko you are no longer with your dad...sabke paas hoti hai woh yaadein jo aansu le aati hain, par woh tab tak hoti hai jab tak hum aisi yaadein na banaye jisse chehre pe muskurahat aaye.' Said kavin with such a loving smile with eyes that just admired the glance of the love of his life.
A smile indeed came on purvi's face as she hugged him, when suddenly they were interrupted by sound of somebody approaching the door. Kavi separated as kavin was about to climb back down, but before that gave purvi a peck on the cheek,
'i love you.' he said.
'i love you.' she said.
'di!' yelled purvi as kavin made a quick spidey escape.
'kya hua?' asked an exhausted ishita, returning to her room with her laptop after finishing her work.
'kuch-kuch-kuch nahi...aap aa gayi..' replied purvi as she tried to hide the dhai bhalla.
'haan...' said ishita as she got that purvi was trying to hide something but couldn't understand what.
'i'm so happy...YAY!' said purvi as she raised both of her hands but quickly hid the left one with the box.
'ok...i think we both should sleep...' remarked a confused ishita.
'yeah, totally!' exclaimed purvi with the consistent energy that was weirding out ishita.
'toh come, sleep!' commanded ishita
'arre, uhh, you first!' replied purvi, just appalled at her stupidity.
'great...' said ishita as she decided just to go to sleep, she was tired.
Purvi sighed in relief as ishita slept on her side. She tip-toed to the kitchen, as in a moment of solace and peace, she had the dhai bhalla and for the first time smiled, thinking of a fond memory.
She finished after a second and threw the box in the bin and was about to leave when she collided to her mother who screamed in horror, and purvi screamed in horror, in return.
'tum kyun cheek rahi ho!'
'aap kyun cheek rahi ho?'
'arre tum aise aa gayi mere saamne...'
'toh aap bhi toh aise aa gayi mere saamne!'
'tumhara kuch nahi ho sakta!'
'same to you!' purvi yelled as she marched to her room, where an annoyed ishita said,
'tum log raat ko bhi shuru ho jaate ho!'
'arre di woh mummy...' said purvi as ishita just went back to sleep.
Purvi, lied that night with the feeling of kavin's kiss on the cheek and that brought a sweet smile on her face, getting a good night's sleep indeed.

'ishu, tera dimaag toh waise theek haina! Matlab kaun promotion ke liye consider hote hue gayab hota hai!' said kriti on the other line of the phone.
'tujhe kya lag raha hai? Main kisliye ghar se kaam kar rahi ho chuti pe jaane ki jagah!' replied ishita as she was getting the flour ready for making chapattis.
'please tell me teri shaadi iss mahine nahi hai...'
'i wish i could...' said ishita as she stopped working.
'i guess you were right, other ppl did have a better chance...'
'now they do...'
'but kavita mam samjhengi, let's not give up hope..'
'right...' she said as she hung up.
'oh come on, we knew this was gonna happen...' She thought as she composed herself and got back to work, trying to distract herself.
'but i might have actually had a chance...' ishita thought as she just couldn't shrug it off.
'oh come on yaar, tu koi Victorian era mein thodi reh rahi hai, ki teri shaadi hona will be something that affects your chances of a promotion...' she thought, as she tried to shut that thought.
'victorian era nahi hai, par log abhi bhi kahan nikle hain usse bahar...' she struck herself with the sad reality.
'agar mil bhi jaata, toh kab tak karti, bacha ho jata phir toh ghar baithna hi padta...jab tak zaroorat na ho koi bache ko ghar chodta hai naukri ke liye!' she thought with contempt.
'main toh shaadi karna bhi nahi chahti thi abhi...' she thought as one tear escaped her eye.
'par ab kya?' the question popped in her head.
