Dream kept his eyes closed as he slowly drifted awake. The soft grass under him tickled his fingertips and the sun warned the mask that covered his face. He smiled lightly.

"Dream!"

Dreams eyes shot open, "George!?"

It took Dream a moment to realize he wasn't anywhere he recognized as he pushed himself into sitting position. Around him were the sleeping bodies of everyone from the SMP. Surrounding the group were walls of mossy cobblestone, almost like someone placed them there a long time ago.

"Dream!" George yelled, tackling the man with a hug, "Wait, why am I hugging you? What's going on!?"

"Like I'd know what's going on!? I haven't been here in a while!" Dream shouted back.

"Well there was this earthquake and then-" George started.

"And then we all fell asleep." Dream sighed, "I know that much, but where are we?"

"I don't know." George shrugged, "I've tried to wake up Sapnap, Quackity, and Karl, but no luck."

"Let me try." Dream crawled over the the closet person to him, which ended up being Bad, "hey, wake up."

"Really? Is that the best you've got?" George raised an eyebrow.

"Listen, my social skills are a little rusty!" Dream huffed, "let me try again."

Dream shook the nine foot demon's shoulder, "hey! Bad! Wake up! I'm gonna say a curse! BAD!"

Bad jolted up, almost knocking Dream over, "Skeppy!?"

"Oh my god, you did it!" George gasped.

"Wha- huh!?" Bad looked around, bewildered, "where the muffin am I?"

"Hey Bad!" Dream smiled underneath his mask.

"Ack! Dream!? Why aren't you in prison!?" Bad yelled.

Dream tilted his head, "wha-"

"We were hoping you knew." George sighed.

"George! You're here too!" Bad gasped, looking around, "wait, is everyone here?"

"Looks like it." Dream squinted through the eyeholes.

"Skeppy!" Bad gasped, rushing over to the diamond humanoid, "what happened here?"

"Well I think we go and find out!" Dream smiled, hefting himself up.

"And just leave everyone for the mobs!?" George jumped up and grabbed Dreams sleeve, "we don't know when everyone will wake up!"

Dream shrugged and glanced at Tommy, "I mean, I know one thorn in my side who people wouldn't be sad if he died... You know, last canon life and all."

George pulled back a little, "Dream you... You took his last canon life... In the prison..."

"A prison we're putting Tommy in?" Dream tilted his head slightly.

"Dream wha-" George whispered.

"Skeppy!" Bad yelled, grabbing the attention of the other two men.

"Bad?" Skeppy blinked as he sat up, "where are we?"

Bad glanced at Dream and George, "we don't know.."

"Wait Bad! You're not all grey!" Skeppy gasped grabbing Bad's hoodie, "is the Egg gone!?"

"Egg?" Bad raised an eyebrow.

Skeppy looked at Bad in shock before they were distracted by Sapnap sitting up.

"Ow my head." Sapnap groaned.

"Sapnap!" Dream yelled, leaping to go give the man a hug.

"Dream!?" Sapnap shouted, looking around, "George!?"

"Looks like you're the sleeping beauty now." George smirked.

Sapnap smiled, "shut up."

"Well anyway, I'm going to go explore!" Dream smiled, "and get some supplies."

"Dream!" George yelled as his friend ran off.

"Wait, is everyone here?" Sapnap asked, looking around, "Bad?"

Bad shrugged, "I'll stay here with Skeppy if you three want to explore."

Sapnap smiled, "Thanks Dad."

"Come on you two!" Dream laughed.

Sapnap and George rolled their eyes before catching up to the masked man. Dream started jumping through the holes in the wall, eager to see what's out there. George and Sapnap followed soon after.

Dream stood on top of the wall, squinting over the trees, "Is that a beacon?"

"What?" Sapnap asked, climbing up next to the green man.

"Oh yeah, there's like, multiple beacons over there." George said.

Dream smiled and jumped down, "let's go check it out!"

"Dream!" George yelled.

"Dude wait for us!" Sapnap laughed.

The trio ran down a hill and across a river until they ran into a wall. A big, grey, stone wall that stretched on.

"Dude, what is this?" Sapnap asked, running a hand over the stone.

"I think..." George stepped back a few paces, "I think it's Eret's castle..."

"What? No way!" Dream scoffed.

"Look! There's a flag there!" George pointed up to where a tattered rainbow flag hung, barely visible above the wall.

"Wait! That means..!" Dream gasped before running north along the wall.

"Dream!" George yelled.

"What the honk." Sapnap laughed, "Dream!"

The three ran by the wall, watching the corner get closer and closer, until it revealed a crumbling city.

"Is this... The SMP?" George said quietly.

"Yo, what happened to it?" Sapnap asked, "look at the Community House!"

"What!?" Dream yelled.

An entire corner of the once beautiful brick building had broken off into the lake surrounding it. The wooden paths had gone slimy with moss and soaked up water.

Dream sighed and fell to the ground. His shoulders began shaking. A quiet laughter could be heard by the other two.

"Look George. Everything the light touches is our kingdom. A kings time as a ruler rises and falls like the sun. One day George, the sun will set, and my time will rise with you, as the new king." Dream recited with a smile.

George smiled, "that was literally the sappiest thing I've ever heard."

"And the stupidest." Sapnap chuckled, "this isn't much of a kingdom right now."

"Oh come on!" Dream laughed.

"So what now?" George asked.

Dream shrugged and stood up, "let's explore!"
