Quackity looked around at the mushroom kingdom. So this is what he missed...
"Karl!" Sapnap yelled as he dragged his fiance behind him, "Twitch.tv/KarlJacobs.com!"
"I don't think he's here Sap." Quackity said, placing a hand on his fiance's shoulder.
"But... Where else could he be?" Sapnap looked at the ground, reaching up to squeeze Quackity's hand.
Quackity sighed softly, "you'd probably know more than me."
"I'm sorry..." Sapnap grit his teeth, "if you were here from the start, we might have been okay."
Quackity laughed lightly, "I don't think anything in this world was okay."
"Not even us?" Sapnap looked up.
Quackity paused. After all that he'd been through with them. El Rapids, their engagement... Was that okay?
"Sapnap!"
The two looked up at the sudden voice. Karl was running toward them at full speed.
"Karl!" Sapnap yelled as the man launched himself into his arms.
Quackity glanced at where Karl came from to see a group of people walking up. Most notably Tommyinnit, Wilbur Soot, and Technoblade.
"Quackity?" Karl's voice snapped him out of his thoughts, "oh my gosh, what the honk happened to you?"
Quackity laughed lightly as Karl traced the scar on his eye, "is, uh, it's a long story..."
"I'm just happy you're here." Karl hugged Quackity tightly, "everything's all confusing right now, you and Sap are the only people I recognize."
"What?" Sapnap placed a hand on Karl's back.
"I was wondering around in this snowy place and this goat-boy found me and then the man with the wings said they'd help me get to Kinoko." Karl explained, pointing to the group a small ways away.
"Is... Is that Wilbur!?" Sapnap's eyes widened as he saw the revived man.
Wilbur awkwardly smiled and waved back. Why did Sapnap look so shocked?
He leaned over to Phil, "Why is he looking at me like that?"
"You were dead, mate." Phil whispered back.
"Oh..." Wilbur slowly dropped his hand, "I forgot about that."
"If it makes you feel better, you didn't remember much after you got revived anyway." Tubbo shrugged.
"What?" Wilbur turned to the oldest child.
"Heh, look," Techno interrupted, "They're coming over."
"What!?" Tommy poked out from under Phil's wing where he was looking at some small mushrooms, "why are they coming over!? Should we leave!? What should we do!?"
Phil rolled his eyes, placing a hand on the child's head, "calm down child."
"I am not a child." Tommy crossed his arms.
"Awe, is little Toms all grown up now?" Wilbur cooed at his brother.
"Shut up you dick!" Tommy yelled as Ranboo hid his laugh behind his hands.
"Don't worry Toms, your big brother Wilby is here." Wilbur smiled, trying to hug Tommy.
"Fuck off you bitch!" Tommy started hitting his brother away.
"Are we interrupting something?" Sapnap laughed as he got within earshot.
Phil shook his head with a smile, "nope, just some brothers being brothers."
Behind them, Tommy had pulled a sword on Wilbur. Wilbur was yelling and asking how the hell Tommy got a sword.
Techno sighed, "yep. Just like old times."
Sapnap chuckled lightly, "well, thanks for helping Karl. We can help him from here."
"No problem mate." Phil shrugged.
Ranboo looked closely at the group. There was Quackity and Karl, but where was Dream?
"Um, where's Dream?" Ranboo spoke up.
Tommy froze suddenly, causing Wilbur to frown in concern.
"He doesn't remember anything." Sapnap said, "I figured he'd be okay with just George after Quackity and I left to find Karl."
Wilbur placed a hand on Tommy's shoulder and walked between him and the engaged trio.
"Well, it's nice to see all you again." Wilbur smiled, "Quackity, how's being vice president to Schlatt?"
Quackity chuckled, "it's nice to see you to Wilbur. I assume you don't remember your tour of Las Nevadas."
"I suppose I don't." Wilbur's eyes went darker when he heard his old opposition speak, "the last thing I remember is the festival. Where you and Schlatt forced Techno to execute Tubbo."
Quackity hummed, "unfortunately I don't remember this Schlatt person."
"Is that so..." Wilbur's lips curled upwards slightly.
Techno stepped in, "alright, this is too much social interaction for me. I think it's time we take our leave."
"Okay," Sapnap grabbed Quackity's arm with the hand that wasn't holding Karl's, "thank you again for helping Karl here."
"It's no problem mate." Phil fluffed out his wings, "be safe. And remember what I said."
Sapnap shrunk slightly under Phil's glare as the group walked away. Phil used his wings to guide everyone back to the Arctic Empire. They had to listen to Tommy's prison story.
"Well that was interesting." Tubbo said on the awkward silence.
"You're telling me." Ranboo sighed, "I barely knew any of them."
"One of them tried to kill me once." Techno raised an eyebrow, "in fact I was the one who gave him that scar."
"Wait, when did that happen?" Tommy asked.
"Uhm, about a day before you showed up at my place." Techno nodded, "the butcher army invaded my house and took me prisoner and had Phil under house arrest... Honestly it was a bad couple of days in general."
"Wait so..." Tommy started, "the butcher army made a plan to execute you while I was in exile? They had the time and energy to plan a fucking execution but not to visit me!?"
Tubbo looked up sharply at his friend, "you mean I didn't visit you when you were gone?"
Phil put his wings between the two, "we'll talk about this more when we get back. It's starting to get dark, so we better hurry."
Tommy frowned but nodded, falling in line behind everyone else. Ranboo sighed softly and dropped back next to him.
"Tubbo really did miss you." Ranboo said, "he had his compass-"
"I know about the fucking compass." Tommy spat, "I had one too. It was from Ghostbur..."
Ranboo sighed, "what I'm trying to say is, that Tubbo probably tried to visit you, but he couldn't for some reason or another."
Tommy's shoulders slumped, "you're probably right... Thanks Ranboo."
The enderman-hybrid's heart warmed when Tommy said his name properly, "no problem Tommy."
