Ponk stared at the place where the Egg used to be. It was slightly concerning that it was just gone. But hey, at least he and Antfrost aren't being controlled anymore.
"So, should we try and find Sam?" Ant asked, looking at Ponk.
Ponk jumped slightly, reaching for his injured arm, "Why?"
Ant shrugged, "I thought he had a way to contain it. You know, after the Banquet happened..."
Ant's black tipped cat ears went flat and he shivered. Ponk looked sympathetically at his friend. The banquet was brutal for anyone involved. But the Egg seemed to be gone for now.
"Do you think we should just... Go home?" Ponk asked, "forget anything ever happened?"
"Maybe." Ant sighed, "Maybe we should try and apologize to people? And like, help them out? Who knows what happened to get us here."
Ponk nodded. The two of them stood for a moment longer. Until they started hearing voices.
"This is the last place they could be."
"We should have checked here first, the Egg could still hold power."
"Let's just check quickly and get out, I don't want to be here anymore."
Puffy looked at her son. Foolish had seemed uncomfortable ever since Sam had suggested they look for Ponk at the Egg. It was understandable. He lost his first cannon life at the Egg.
"I've never liked this place." George inches closer to Dream, "it gave a weird vibe at the Banquet."
"Well if the Banquet was a plot to kill everyone, it makes sense you'd feel weird." Dream chuckled.
"Two people died Dream, I don't think it's a laughing matter." George said quietly, glancing at Foolish.
Bad shivered as he heard that. He was part of something the killed two people for something that could destroy the world. Skeppy placed a hand on his arm, grabbing his sleeve as they walked down the red corridors.
"Sam..?" Ponk watched wide eyed as the creeper-hybrid came into view.
Sam paused, "um, sorry. I... Don't know you..."
"What?" Ponk whispered.
Bad took a step forward, "some of us don't remember things... I don't remember the Egg at all, and Dream..."
"I don't remember anything." Dream shrugged.
Ponk frowned, "oh..."
"So no one knows what happened to the Egg?" Ant spoke up.
Everyone says shook their heads. It was strange that the egg was gone, but no one was complaining.
"So, are you still..?" Puffy asked, glancing at Antfrost.
The cat sighed, "no. The Egg's influence is gone."
An awkward silence fell around the group. The found who they needed to find, so what now?
"So uh, what now?" Dream asked.
"Go home?" Ponk suggested.
Bad nodded, "I agree. I don't like it here."
"Me neither." Skeppy sighed shortly, eyeing the lava pools on the ground.
Everyone stayed in place for a few more moments before making their way out of the Banquet hall.
"I should probably get back to Las Nevadas now..." Foolish said, starting to walk away.
"Oh! Okay! Stay safe son!" Puffy called after him.
"I will Dad!" Foolish smiled back at her.
Puffy smiled as her son walked away.
"I think Bad and I are going to get back to fixing the mansion." Skeppy said, walking off with Bad close behind him.
"It was great seeing you guys!" Bad smiled at the rest of them.
The rest of the group waved as the demon and diamond left. Skeppy was quiet as they walked. Bad figured it was from visiting the place of the Egg.
"Skeppy? Are you okay?" Bad asked.
Skeppy nodded, "Yeah. Yeah... I'm fine."
"Are you sure?" Bad looked down at his friend, worrying his fingers.
"Yes! I'm fine!" Skeppy snapped, "I'm not going to have a breakdown or anything! You don't have to keep checking on me! I'm fine without you!"
Bad flinched back, a pain in his heart. Why did that hurt so bad?
"I... I'm sorry..." Bad whimpered.
Skeppy's eyes went wide, "I'm sorry Bad, I don't mean that."
"It's okay." Bad turned away, a faint memory pushing the edges of his mind, "let's just go home."
Skeppy nodded. Home would be better. Everything would go back to normal soon.
