Chapter 7

The next day, she went to the elevator and pressed the red button. A catapult launched her out of the elevator, through a hatch in the roof, and onto her tennis court. When she landed, she was holding a tennis racquet and ball. In front of her, was a guy that she didn't recognize. However, she knew he was an enemy because his shirt said, Team Entertainers. Jessie served the ball because that's what she thought the CIA had put her there to do. When the Entertainer served back, the regular tennis ball turned into a flaming tennis ball. Jessie jumped into the air and returned the ball of fire. When she hit it, the ball turned to ice. "This must be a battle between ice and fire." she thought. When the ice ball made contact with the Entertainer's arm, it turned his arm to ice. The man struggled to break his left arm out of the ice but it was no use, his arm was frozen solid. Jessie wondered what would happen if the ball of fire hit her. Chances of finding out weren't too good. When the fire ball returned for revenge, she ducked and the fire singed her hair. She screamed even though it didn't hurt. How would she explain this to her mom? Was lying again worth the risk of being grounded again? When she stood to her feet, she grabbed the ball and thought to herself, "Why don't I just hurl the ball at his face? Won't it freeze him?" it was worth a shot. She picked up the ice ball and hurled it at the Entertainer's face and his face, surely enough, froze solid. His head, now weighing more than his body, weighed him down to the floor. She ran up to him and used some material from the tennis net to bound his arms and feet. Then, she dragged him into the dumpster. "Mission accomplished." she thought. When she turned around, there was a giant cyclops waiting for her.
