(Xiao POV)

I followed behind Hu Tao. Who's trying to attract an audience.

"Wangsheng funeral parlor welcomes you!"
Hu Tao says excitedly, passing around what Yanfei calls flyers

"Hu Tao, I don't find the reason to attract people."
I interrupted.

"Haiya, come on Xiao. No need to be such a wuss. Let's pass out all of these fliers then meet Yanfei at her building. Treat the living before you have to leave them for dead."

Hu Tao smiled at me before quickly looking away to pass out more flyers.

Recalling correctly she was passing out fliers due to her new limited-time deals although I'm unsure what that means to Hu Tao.

"Xiao heyo!"
I shook my head, looking up at Hu Tao.

"If you are so bored you can check on Zhongli."
Hu Tao noted.

"Zhongli?"
I tilted my head in confusion.

"He's my assistant. My right-hand man, I trust him a lot!"
Hu Tao said, giggly.

"I have no interest in speaking with an ordinary mortal."
I said, narrowing my eyes.

"Suit yourself, here pass out these flyers!"
Hu Tao shoved a box of flyers into my arms.

"And what do you want me to do with these?"
I questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"Pass them out silly. What's paper when no one reads them?"

I nodded at Hu Tao's explanation. Even if it was very vague.

"Okay, off you go Xiao after we'll get some almond tofu!"
Hu Tao bargained.

"Where will I meet you?"
I asked, moving the flyers a bit.

"Etmmm, meet me at Yanfei's building at 14:00! Ill order the tofu. Off you go my friend!"
Hu Tao nudged me towards the more crowded area of Liyue harbor.

I looked back at her, glaring. She wore a cheeky smile to counter it.
Mortals lives were so carefree. I hate it, but envy it so.

Walking down the bridge I tried to hide my face behind the surplus of flyers Hu Tao had created.

I have a burning passion for the crowded city. People would watch and stare, these mortals have no respect for the Adepti. Even after saving them from an ancient god.

I continued my journey through the city. Putting up Hu Tao's fliers on wooden boards.

I don't understand why mortals put themselves in a position to enhance their business.

Such trials I do not have to worry myself with.

(Aether POV)

"Aether these are so expensive."
Paimon sulked.

"Out budget is 2,000 mora, we should be fine."
I replied, reassuring her.

"Excuse me sir? Can I have two more sugars?"
I asked.

"Sorry kid, we are all out of sugar."
The store owner replied.

"Ah, ok."
I too, started to sulk.

"It's ok Aether, we can go find someone else who sells sugar."
Paimon tried to sound hopeful. Even though she knew this was the only place that sold premium sugar.

"It's fine Paimon, we can go pick sweet flowers outside of the harbor."
I suggested an alternative.

Paimon pouted a bit, "B-but it'll take FOREVER and Paimon is hungry..."

I sighed, "Paimon let's go I'll treat you to Wanmins."

Paimon slowly nodded.
We began to walk down from the store to Wanmins restaurant. The city wasn't busy at this time, it was quite peaceful.

"Aether watch out!"
Paimon yelled. I bumped into a person and began to fall.

"The incline of the road went down, so me and said person tumbled down the incline."

"Ouch."
The person groaned.

"Wait...Aether?"
The person stuttered.

"Xiao?"
The teal haired boy looked up at me in confusion. Papers were scattered around him.

"X-Xiao...Ah I'm very sorry let me help you up!"
I quickly sprang up, grabbing onto Xiao's hand.

"I'm fine, I don't need your mortal help."
Xiao hissed.

"Okay, can I treat you to some food?"
I asked nicely, receiving a glare from Xiao.
"No, I'm fine."
Xiao responded.

"Xiao! Are you ok! Sorry Aether was being dumb."
Paimon pouted.

I rolled my eyes.

"We can help you Xiao. We can hand out these papers too."
Paimon smiled.

Xiao bit his lip, "Please take these papers, I want to go back to Wangshu inn."
Xiao picked up the papers then handed them to me.

"Okay, we'll do it!"
I responded happily.

Xiao nodded his head before disappearing.

"Aether we already have so many chores!!!"
I rolled my eyes.

"We'll be fine."

.

"Thank you so much Xiangling!"
Xiangling handed me the ingredients.

"Sure thing Aether! This should be enough ingredients. Now run along!!"
Xiangling waved at us goodbye as we teleported to Wangshu inn.
