(Thea's POV)

It's been about 5 more hours now making it sundown when we make our next stop at this run-down bed-and-breakfast, and I swear it can't get much worse than this. The building (above image) was a mess, the wood was rotting, the welcome sign above the door was about to fall from termites, the light pink paint was peeling off revealing black wood underneath, trash lay everywhere around the building and I swear I just saw a dead dog around back. This seemed to be the only bed-and-breakfast in town too, so it was our only option. Oh yeah, and on top of all of this, our driver has somewhere else to be so now we have to make the rest of the way through Nico's shadow traveling or taxis. I look over at Leo, who is now rubbing his eyes after his nap. His hair was stuck up in every which way, making him look like he was struck by lightning. Piper looks almost exactly the same, but her hair seems a bit more tamed. And then Nico who looks just as bad as everyone else but he kind of rocked the look. His hair is all a mess, the dark circles under his eyes pronounced, and that dull look on his face as he looks over the building.

"Do we really need to stay here?" Piper asks as she hunches over.

"Oh come on guys it might be nicer on the inside." I start for the building with a huge grin on my face. As bad as it may look I cant wait to shower, sleep, and indulge myself in something warm to eat. Everyone follows behind as I swing the main entrance door, a little bell announces our arrival making a head behind a falling-apart desk shoot up. The room around us was as horrifying as the outside, green paint chips and holes covered the wood floor, the walls were an ugly grey now and the lights that flickered made me feel sick. The smell on top of it all wasn't any better either. I turn back to the desk to notice a wide-smile girl who was way too pretty to be working at a place like this. She had blonde hair tied into a ponytail with huge hoops for earrings, she had a sharp jawline and glowingly tan skin. She wore a women's grey suit shirt that almost seemed brand new. But her eyes were what caught my attention they were normal green eyes but they seem to stare into my soul, this all seems really off to me.

"Well hello, my darlings. How may I help you this evening?" She spoke softly and slightly surprised.

"Well hello there beautiful, could you help me get your number?" Leo ran up to the desk, leaning an arm on the table and winking as he ran his fingers through his hair.

She giggles in response as she put a hand over her mouth. "Oh, aren't you precious!" She grabs his cheek and pulls on it, making him blush like an idiot.

"Yes, you can help us, we are looking for rooms for the night." She brings her attention to Nico, who has an aggravated look on his face.

"Of course, but sadly we only have one room at the moment. But this room has two beds and a working bathroom." How is there only one room available? Does anyone even know this place exists?

"Well, I guess that'll have to work." Nico shrugs. She nods and begins typing into the computer in front of her.

"That'll be $80 for the night. And will you be having breakfast with us tomorrow morning?" She scans us all, looking for a response.

"Sure!" Leo booms again, trying to make his move.

"Don't you have a girlfriend, you idiot?" I punch his shoulder, then turning to the girl. "Sounds great," I say.

"Great! Your room number is room 23, up the stairs on the right side." She grins at me and then goes back to the computer.

I lead us through hallways and stairs of rotting wood, drips from the ceiling, rats, and molding food. We finally make it to the second floor when I notice the number 23 on a blue door, our room. I reach for the rusted handle sticking the key in and turning, I open the door and to my surprise, it actually wasn't that horrible. The floors were covered in a light pink rug that had a tad of black mold, the walls were an ugly orange and again there was mold but not that much, the two beds at the far wall were about queen-sized and seem to be able to fit two people each. There were two windows one on the right and one on the left side of the room that made it look kind of funky. I continue to walk into the room and I notice the bathroom door next to the farthest bed.
