*Loki's POV*

"Peter?" My jaw practically dropped, "You're alive! What are you doing?" I asked, completely hysterical. I mean wouldn't you be if you found your dead boyfriend alive a year later leading an alien invasion. Peter just looked at me, the eyes that once held love and happiness were now filled with pain and disgust as he replied "Why are you here? Did Thanos send you to torture me again? I've done everything he has asked of me, there is no reason for you to be here." I stood there for a moment shocked by his words before responding "What? Peter it's Loki, don't you remember what happened, I thought you were dead but by some miracle you are alive." At this point Peter's face deadpanned as he spoke softly "Do I remember?" His tone turned rougher with each word his volume growing with his anger, "Yes I remember. I remember every little knick." He exclaimed stepping closer to me, "Every little slice." Once again he stepped closer to me, rage bringing his body to nearly shake, "Every little bruise, cut, broken bone. I remember it all!" He yelled right to me, face to face. "Yet you call it a miracle? Does this look like a miracle to you?" It was then as Peter and I were practically nose to nose, I noticed the black and blue marks painted across Peter's face. His face was a battlefield, every little pink line a scar telling the story of another war fought and lost. Leaving him with that look in his eyes, like all hope is lost. Never to be seen again. He didn't even give me time to respond as he regained his composure, and began to walk away. Peter turned back to me before stating "I have a job to do and you know what Loki you and your buddies better stay out of my way." saying my name like it was venom on his tongue.

I stood there for a moment staring at his face into his eyes searching for the person I loved more than anything, contemplating his words. But found nothing but a shell of the man he once was staring back at me. His pain cut deeper than any word or knife ever could, worst of all knowing he thinks I was the one to inflict it. He really doesn't remember me, what we went through together. All the pain from the last year, his and mine joined together. My sorrow turned to fury that I announced with each word once again closing the gap he has now created, "You know what, fine, forget about me. Forget about the love we shared, the nights we spent on the roof star gazing, and watching movies while eating junk food. The days where I held you after Ben's death as May was lost in her own world. The times I stood behind you and helped you as you ran around Queens saving people because that's all you wanted, was to help others. Forget everything!" At this point I was practically screaming. Peter no longer held hatred in his face, nor did his composure. His face was filled with what looked like fear as he matched my forward steps with steps backwards of his own. By the time I had finished my statements we were once again face to face and my hand was on his chest. Peter was on the edge of the roof, and with a final push I yelled to him "Forget about me!" Just as he began to fall I clenched my hand into a fist around his shirt, catching him. I yanked him across my body and back onto the roof. He fell to the ground and looked up to me with surprise in his eyes. Tears filled mine as I looked at him and gave my final statement, "But I can't forget about you." With that I stretched out my arms and fell back. Once again I found myself falling. In the distance I could hear Romanoff shout for me, but no amount of shouts could save me from the pain I felt welling inside me. Only one thing could, and it was waiting for me at the bottom of this fall, death. Or so I thought, turns out one other thing could stop the pain. "LOKI!" I heard breaking the chaos of the raging battle surrounding us. Seconds later I felt hands on my back and legs, and the sweet tug of gravity. When I opened my eyes I saw none other than Peter, not the soulless creature that crawled it's way out of hell, but Peter. I leaned into him clutching onto anything I could grab, afraid if I let go he'd disappear. "Peter." I smashed my face into his shirt, shaking, and crying, "I love you." Peter looked down at me wide eyed, lost his swing a little, leading to a crash landing, and his voice cracked as he asked "You what?" I never told him I loved him before. My biggest regret I've had to carry around with me for the last year, and now I was free. "Peter Benjamin Parker. I said I love you." I said tip toeing up to give Peter a kiss, but he pulled away before I got the chance.

"Loki, hey buddy." His deep voice didn't fit the still awkward boy I knew. "I can't do that. I remember nothing, but that I loved you." He stepped back a bit, it was weird to see how drastically his mannerism had changed. "Peter I don't understand, why did you save me then?" My heart ached, but also jumped with joy. On the one hand the love of my life was back, on the other he still couldn't remember all that we had shared. "I don't know how to explain this to you. When I look at you, all I can see is the man who has tormented me every day and every night for what felt like an eternity. Yet when I hear Loki, think of the name, smell your scent. I feel home, my body fills with warmth and my heart flutters. I remember distant memories of memories. You're there, but just out of reach." Peter said, as I went to answer I heard a slight pressure behind me and the snarky voice of Tony Stark. "Cute. Hey kid little tip, next time you have a make-out sesh with your boyfriend, turn off your comms." At that moment I hated everything about Stark, and the stupid invention of comms. I ripped mine out of my ear and threw it at him, that was when I noticed Peter. No, not Peter, the thing was back. Full of rage, tensed up for battle. "YOU!" It spat. Tony lifted the mask of his suit with a smile, "Me" Peter practically jumped out of his skin as he charged toward Tony "YOU WERE THE ONE WHO KILLED MY LOVE!" Tony stuck out his hand and held Peter off like the classical child attack you see in movies. "Woah there little guy, I've never seen you in my life." But this isn't the movies, and Peter is not simply a child. Peter grabbed Tony's arm and flipped him so hard he went crashing leaving dents in the roof. "That's it you little punk." Tony said standing up. As much fun as it would be to see Peter absolutely destroy Stark I decided I needed to step in. "Stand down Stark. Don't you have a fight to go pick with Cap' or something" I said nodding him off. Tony looked pissed but reluctantly said "Put your dog back on his leash." before flying away.

Peter was preparing to charge after him again but I stepped in the way. "Peter, listen to me." I started, and could see him seething with rage. "Out of my way. He killed the love of my life." He spit through grating teeth. I snapped to distract his attention away from Tony and bring it back to me. "Hey, love of your life here, and very much alive." Peter's death glare now centered on me "Loki I told you-" I cut him off and grabbed his hand "And I listened, now it's your turn to listen to me." I pulled his hand up to my chest and placed my other hand over his. "All I need you to do is to feel me. Feel me Peter." We stood there in the silence of my beating heart. I searched his face for any sign, and I got it. I watched as his intense stare tore off into another place, his eyes dilated and his shoulders relaxed. "I-" His voice was weak, and his eyes refocused on me. "I remember. Tony, he- He stabbed you. How are you-" Peter's voice cut off, and I knew he was back. He was starting to remember, which meant there was hope, there was hope for us. As I went to answer him I felt a crash in the building. I looked over to see what was happening, and saw many things that had happened to slip my mind. For starters, New York was on fire with aliens roaming and looting every crevice of it, and 2 a missile flying straight toward the city. "I'll explain everything later, we have a New York to save first. Can you close the portal?"
