Ingredients:

Dough
3cups self-raising flour
1tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Pinch cayenne pepper
1/4 cup grated cheese
1 1/4 cups milk
Extra milk,to glaze

Filling
3/4 cup tomato pasta sauce
3/4 cup grated cheeder cheese
2tbsp fresh chives,chopped (optional)

Equipment
Large mixing bowl
Baking tray
Round ened knife
Sieve
Measuring cups
Dessert spoons

Variation
Vegimite and cheese
Pizza sauce,ham and cheese
Sweet chili sauce and cheese

Method
1.heat oven to 210 degC. Line a
Baking tray with baking paper. Sift dry
Ingredients onto a bowl,then stir in
Grated cheese and make a well in the
Centre. Add milk to the well and mix
Just enough to form a slightly sticky
Dough.

2.turn the dough onto a lightly
Floured work surface. Knead lightly,
Just to bring together.roll dough out
Or press out with hands into a large
Rectangle about 5mm thick.

3.spread the surface of the rectangle
With tomato pasta sauce and scatter
with grated cheese and chopped
Chives. Roll up to form a long log.

4.cut log into 10 equal pieces and
arrange these, spiral side up and just
Touching one another,on the prepared
baking tray. Brush the surface of each
scone with a little milk, bake for 20
Mintutes or until firm and golden
Brown.
