Chapter 48

Jennie's pov

I made my coffee while Lisa was preparing our breakfast. She's so silent since yesterday and I know something is wrong...

I mixed my coffee while staring at her. She opened the ref and get the bread then sat opposite to mine. I stood up my seat, walk towards her and hug her from behind.

"Somethings wrong Lisa?" I asked in my concerned voice, she hold my arms rubbing it through her thumbs.

"N-nothing..." she weakly utter.

"I-I'm just gonna take my shower Jennie." she added then stood up her seat, turn her back to mine and headed to her room.

I followed her, she was preparing her clothes and never throw me a look.

"Lisa can you tell me what's going on? You keep ignoring me since yesterday, you're so cold..." I finally have the guts to ask her.She just paused then closed her cabinet.

"I'm sorry Jennie, I-I'm just tired." she answered without even throwing me a single look.

"L-lisa stop lying... Why can't you just tell me what's the problem is–"

"Jennie just return to your life." she cut me off.

W-WHAAT?

"Wha-what???" I stuttery utter.

"Jennie d-do you think it's still right? You are risking your life just for the two of us when in fact there would never be an us..." she said then look at my left hand.

"You can't even removed those rings, don't you think i-it's time to accept our reality?" The way she utter those words was so painful... She's sound defeated and it's hurting me.

No words scaped in my mouth until she turn her back on me and headed inside the bathroom.

It's so fucking painful, she may never say it directly but what she just told me was all saying just to surrender...

That words keep flashing in my mind, I can even hear how defeated her voice is and its torturing me.

"You're not moving your foods Jennie." mom said.

I was at home cuz I decided to visit them since it's weekend. I can't even stay at Lisa's place, I can't handle to stare at her when she doesn't even wanted to throw me a single look.

"Jennie you don't look fine... Is this about you and Kai?" mom asked.

"Jennie marriage isn't that easy... But you should take care of it. Whatever your problem is fix it..." dad added.

I slowly grab my spoon and moved my food without uttering a single word.

"Kai told me... Are you cheating on him Jennie?" dad seriously asked that made me look at him. My heart started to pulpitate as I was looking at his eyes.

"J-jennie is this true???" mom asked in unbelief.

"E-eomma—"

"Jennie. You know what the consequences is, don't mess your life for someone who's not better to thyself."

"Dad sh—he was better than anyone else." I corrected, they both look at me in surprised.

"I-I know I was doing it wrong... But I-it was my happiness. Can you blame me I-if I just wanted to be happy?" I utter while tears started to drop down my face.

"I'm sorry..." I apologized then wipe my tears.

"Jennie you weren't happy because you're not choosing to be... You are smart Jennie and I know you know what's the right thing to do." dad strictly said.

I don't even  know what's the right thing...

Kai's pov

I just got home, I saw Jennie's luggage down the stairs.

" Sir, Ma'am Jennie just returned. "the maid said.

I put my bag under the couch and was about to take the stairs when she was heading down.

" Jennie, I'm happy you returned. "I said without leaving my spot.

" I'm not yet returning home Kai. "she utter.

" You're gonna still stay at Lisa's place?? Jennie you have your own house. "I told her while the maids are bringing her stuff upstairs.

" I just need time to think Kai. "she utter.

" T-think about what?? Jennie just stay here. "I said then hold her hands.

" K-kai it's late, I need to go. "she said removing  her hands from my grip, she was about to walk away when I grab her wrist.

" Je-jennie let's just talk...  "I beg.

" Kai you're hurting me... "she said referring to my grip.

" Jennie I just want us to talk but you're always going away. "she pull her hands but I didn't let go of it.

" Kai you're hurting me! "she sternly utter.

" What do you really want Jennie huh!? "I asked. She hold my hand and forcefully removed it from her arm then look at my eyes directly.

" I-I want an annulment Kai. "she directly  utter that weaken me. I was scanning her face to see some signs that she's just kidding but there wasn't.

" Huh! "I spoofed in unbelief.

" A-annulment?? Can you hear your self Jennie? D-do you think I'm gonna let that happen? Why!? Because of that fucking person huh? Jennie tell me who's that guy is! "I grab her arm tightly as I lossed my temper, I can't hide the anger in me that I keep since the beginning.

" Ka-Kai—"

" IS THAT HOW MUCH YOU FOND LISA?! You know what since Lisa came to our life you started to changed! —Yeah she's your bestfriend and just because she's your friend you'll gonna be like her too!? She got divorced to her husband and now you wanted it too?? YOU ARE NOT PATHETIC AS SHE IS JENNIE!! —"*slapped

" DON'T YOU EVER TALK TO HER THAT WAY!!! "she madly said. I felt my faced burning from her hands. Her eyes are burning and it's the first time I've seen her like this.

" Can't you still see it Kai?! Or you're just blind??! ... "she asked.

" Are you not still happy that I choosed you huh!? I just wanted to stay to the person who I'm taking the risk. To the person I know who's worth fighting! But I guess I'm pathetic cuz I choosed you over her! "she directly said. She wipe her tears and leave me dumbfounded.

W-Wha-what did she just said???!

"I don't want her to ruin anything Kai. I wanted to tell you as how much Jennie wanted to say it, b-but what do you think is the reason why she can't? She's in a marriage because she choosed the right thing that you all believed to be, if you think that it's unfair to you do you think it's not unfair for her too??"

" C-can't you see? "

"He choosed you more than her happiness Kai... "
