Capitulo Nueve

"Hey! What are you doing here? After humiliating us yesterday, you never even gave Jennie a face when you stood up like that. Who do you think you are, huh?"


Her mother-in-law greeted her with that.


"And you, Jennie! Why are you with this trash?" She continued her nags.


Jennie looked at her Mom then said with her stern voice,

"Mom, stop! She's still my wife so please at least respect her, okay? Let's go, Lisa." Then she pulled Lisa inside their house.


This stunned Lisa and her mother. It was the first time Jennie defended Lisa so they were both shocked because of Jennie's acts and words. While her mother was fuming in anger, Lisa felt her thumping heart once again. She was too overwhelmed by what Jennie did, acted towards her and everything about Jennie today. She's too flustered.



"Lisa, go upstairs. I will just talk to mom. Take a rest first." Jennie said to Lisa.



Lisa who is still in a daze just followed what Jennie asked her to but she remembered what she was really here for so she looked at Jennie to ask for her permission.



"Jennie, uh I will be fixing my things, I might touch your belongings, is it okay? I promise I'll wash whatever I've touched."



When Jennie heard this, she didn't say anything but simply dragged Lisa to their room then she locked the door.



She cupped Lisa's face, "Hubby, you are not fixing anything, okay? You will stay here, with me, your wife. Do you understand? Don't mind anyone, they don't matter, okay? Just focus on me baby, can you do it?"


What she said caught Lisa off guard. Her wife is acting so weird these days but she just decided to enjoy it and feel it before it lasts. She just nodded at Jennie because she really finds it weird.



"I need your words, honey. You won't leave me again, right?" Jennie persists.


Lisa shyly nodded again and simply said okay.


With that, Jennie looked happy. She clapped her hands and enthusiastically said,

"Okay hubby, you must be hungry so I will cook for you. Take some rest, okay?" With that, she left.





Lisa blushed terribly when her wife left. Even though Jennie was acting kinda weird, she just let it pass because she was happy of what is happening. It was the first time Jennie acted that way, sweet and a wife. I was also the first time that Jennie cooked for her. She felt loved.

'Maybe this time, we can act as a real married couple.' She giggled at that thought.











A week has passed and Jennie treated her differently from before. It was past 9 in the evening when Jennie came home. She looked tired and stressed. She can't find any people to invest again to their company, they don't even approve her proposals or sometimes they even reject her whenever she sets an appointment with them. She didn't try going back to Bruschweiler Tower again because of what happened a week ago when she cancelled it at the last minute when she took Lisa home that time. She heaved a sigh.




Lisa saw her wife seated on the sofa, with her eyes closed and heavy breathings. She looked closely then she saw that even though Jennie looked stressed and all, she's as beautiful as ever. She knelt down in front of Jennie when she saw that she was still wearing her shoes and removed it. Then she massaged her foot afterwards.



Jennie felt this so she opened her eyes and smiled at her wife looking so serious while giving her a Thai massage. She felt so comfortable so she closed her eyes to rest. But Lisa talked.


"How's your day, wife?" Lisa asked her then looked up at her tired face.


She heard it so she opened her eyes and answered,

"I'm so tired, hubby. Nobody wants to invest in our company again, they reject every other proposal that I make and sometimes they don't even look at it." She said frustratingly and continued,


"I can't give up. I need to prove to them that I can do it so they won't bother us anymore and that Suga can just suck his thumb, especially that Kim Jongin. Argh. I don't know what to do anymore." She slumped on the couch while ranting to Lisa who is still giving her a massage.



Lisa heard this and took pity for her wife.

"You can try it again tomorrow, honey. I can drive you anywhere. I'll be with you. I'm sorry if I can't be of any help." Lisa said to Jennie with sadness in her voice.



"It's fine, don't worry. I got this. Don't be sorry, okay? I can get through this." Then Jennie closed her eyes again just feeling Lisa's massage. But Lisa talked again.



"Oh, I remember. Baby, what were you doing in that hotel last week? You seemed to have folders in your hand that day, baby."


Jennie sighed again.

"Oh, it's nothing. I had an appointment with them but I cancelled it when I saw you. It's not your fault, okay?"



Lisa, "Why didn't you try going back there again, honey? Maybe they will hear you out."


"Nah, that's the biggest company here, hubby. To have an appointment with them is just like picking a rare gem. I was lucky to book one but I let it slip and I know that they won't allow me to book an appointment with them anymore because of my absence last time." Jennie explained.


Then Lisa thought of an idea.

"Book one again with them, wife. They will approve that when they see your beautiful face, trust me. Go back there, okay?"



Jennie just shook her head no,

"Nah, I will just embarrass myself. So I won't risk it anymore. I'll just find someone, okay?"



But Lisa was too persistent.

"Please? Just once more. I'll sleep outside if they will reject you. Just try, okay?"



"Fine, let's just go there tomorrow morning. But for now, let's sleep. I am so exhausted." Jennie was so tired to talk so she just let it be. There's no harm in trying, right? Then they went upstairs. When Jennie finished showering, Lisa already fixed her sleeping stuffs on the floor preparing to sleep. Jennie saw that then asked her,


"Are you comfortable with that? It's quite cold tonight."



Lisa shook her head cutely and said, " It's fine, wifey. I'm used to it. Good night, baby! Sleep tight."

Jennie saw Lisa's charming and said, defeated.


"Good night, Lisa."






The next morning,

­­­­­Lisa already finished her wife and her in-law's breakfast so she went upstairs to shower and fix herself. But before she went to the bathroom, she first adored her wife's beautiful sleeping face and woke her up.



Jennie opened her eyes only to see a beautifully handsome creature right in front of her.



"Good morning, wife. We have to hurry; you might miss Bruschweiler Tower again. Come on; take your breakfast downstairs first."



Jennie blinked thrice then nodded her head. And with that, Lisa went to the bathroom while Jennie fixed herself.




They reached the Bruschweiler Tower earlier than expected with Lisa's old motorbike. She just parked her Ducati somewhere because she knows her mother-in-law. She just told Jennie that she just borrowed it and immediately dismissed the topic.



Going back, when they reached their destination, Jennie was nervous. Lisa felt it so she tried cheering her up by saying,

"Hey wife, I know you can nail this one. Just give it your best shot, okay? And if ever you'll be rejected which I highly doubt, we can still find someone again. Also, trust me, okay? You'll get them."



When Jennie heard this, she slightly felt at ease. So she smiled at Lisa and also replied,

"Thank you, hubby. I will enter now, okay? Will you be fine here?"



Lisa, "Of course, I'll wait for you here. Go now. I'll be waiting. Fighting!" Then she waved at Jennie.



When Jennie was gone, she immediately called Chaeyoung.


"My wife got inside. Just approve anything, alright? Treat her right."


"Of course, Chairman. I won't disappoint you." Chaeyoung said."


"Thank you, Miss Park. I trust you on this." Then she hung up.




Of course, she messaged Chaeyoung last night when she proposed this idea to Jennie. She thought that maybe she can just help her anonymously without her knowing and that's the best way of help. She felt that her wife changed though so it's time to pay it back.


She actually has no plans of helping the Kim's. After all the humiliations she felt, she thought that maybe they all deserve it. But Min Yoongi irritates her, same with Kai, Old Lady Bae and her mother-in-law. They are all eye sores and the thought of them always brings her mood down.


She thought that her wife is still her wife. A little help will do. She also saw her wife's exhausted and depressed look last night so she wanted to help her. And to make all the noises stop too.


The Kim never stopped pursuing Jennie to stop trying to get it all back and just marry that Suga and she got tired of hearing it too. So she went down to this.






"Hi, I'm Jennie Kim and I want to set an appointment with the Chairman. Is it okay?" Jennie said to the receptionist when she went to them.



And as soon as they heard Jennie's name, they immediately bowed their heads.



"Miss, please let me assist you to Chairman's office." The receptionist respectfully said.



Jennie was shocked when they all bowed at her and wanted to ask them but she just let it be as it was an opportunity that she should grab. So she just simply nodded.




While they were at the elevator, the receptionist spoke,

"Miss Park has been waiting for you, Miss Kim."



Jennie finds it weird. She doesn't have any acquaintances with Chaeyoung so she asked,

"Why would she wait for me?"



The receptionist looked at her and respectfully responded,

"Oh, she said that you are Chairman's guest and that makes you a VIP."

Her answer confused Jennie even more. She doesn't even know the name of their Chairman. She only knows Chaeyoung because she is quite popular in the industry. But she just nodded at the woman in front of her.




"We're here, Miss Kim. Just knock and you'll see Miss Park there." She bowed then left.



Jennie knocked then she heard a faint come in so she went inside and she saw a blonde, tall and gorgeous woman inside. Park Chaeyoung. Her temperament is good. She looks like a very serious person; she was not inferior to Jennie in such aspects.



When Chaeyoung saw her, she lightly smiled and greeted Chaeyoung.

"Good morning, Miss Park. Thank you for letting me in."



Chaeyoung smiled back and said,

"Good morning too Mrs. Manoban, and of course, you are welcome here."


She was quite shocked when Chaeyoung called her with Lisa's surname. She thought that maybe Chaeyoung investigated her first before letting her in.



"Uh, actually, I want to say sorry for not showing up last week, something just came up. That's why I'm so glad that you still welcomed me here." Jennie said softly.



Chaeyoung, "It's all fine, we understand. And uh, let's get to business?"






Jennie explained everything to Chaeyoung, her plans and everything. Chaeyoung just brushed a look at the papers Jennie gave her and when Jennie was done talking, she offered her hand to Jennie.


"I accept your proposal, Miss Kim. We will invest in your company so we expect you to not let us down."


Jennie was dumbfounded when heard this. She was shocked but when she saw Chaeyoung's hand still waiting for her, she immediately took it and said,

"Thank you, Miss Park. I will do my best." She smiled.



"Of course, I have the contract ready and you just have to sign it and we're done." Chaeyoung said then handed her an envelope.


"Really? Then I'll sign it. Thank you very much, Miss Park." Jennie said while trying not to be in a daze at that moment.



"Oh, I didn't do much. It was all Chairman's words. We just follow her orders." That caught Jennie's attention while she was reading the contract.


"I wonder who the Chairman is, Miss Park. I want to personally thank her."
 

When Chaeyoung was about to answer her, she thought that Lisa might want to keep it a secret so she just said,

"I can't actually tell you but you can meet her someday. It's fine, I'll just tell her that you are grateful of her."



Jennie finished reading the contract and nodded,

"Is that so? In that case, I'll just have to wait then. It's done."


Then she signed the contract and stood up,

"It was really a pleasure. Thank you, Miss Park. But I'll have to leave now; Lisa is waiting for me outside."



Chaeyoung just smiled and offered,

"Okay, Mrs. Manoban. I'll take you to the lobby then."


Jennie shook her head,

"You don't have to, Miss Park. I'll find my way down."


As if Chaeyoung didn't hear her, "Let's go?"

Then they both went down the building to where Lisa was waiting.



Jennie bowed her head to Chaeyoung and said her thanks then jogged to Lisa happily.



"Hubby! I got it! I'm so happy. Look, I have the contract here with me. We finally got them. It's a big shot, hubby." She said enthusiastically.


Lisa saw her wife's happy aura, she couldn't help but smile.


"I told you that you can do it, remember? I'm proud of you. That's nice. This calls for a celebration then."


Jennie heard Lisa then she blushed then took the helmet from her and turned her back on Lisa. Lisa this time saw Chaeyoung from a far then lightly smiled and nodded at her.



Chaeyoung felt giddy when she saw Lisa's smile again.




"Oh how lucky you are, Jennie."

Hey! That's quite long!

That makes it quite harder for me to put this on Facebook, I hate cutting it because I feel like it'll ruin the mood. But I think that's fine. I might have to shorten it on Facebook if you noticed that I've cut some because it's always the last part that's left so I thought that maybe it's not that necessary at all -mind you, sometimes they are important- and I always exceed 8,000 characters so...
