When Jennie received the papers, Jiyong was with Lisa.


"Young Mistress, after we settle everything with your wife, what are you going to do next?"

GD asked Lisa respectfully.



Lisa who is in deep sorrow right now decided not to show and just answered Jiyong,

"I'm thinking about managing the company that Grandma gave me and focus on it. But of course, I want to hide my identity well."


"Young Mistress, I dare not go against you but I think it's best if you will go back to Vientiane. Old Madam Manoban wishes to see you and be with you just like the old times." Jiyong carefully said afraid that he might touch his Young Mistress's wounds.



Hearing this, Lisa simply shook her head.

"Nah, going back there means that I am reconciling with them and I don't want that. Not too soon. Also, going back there will reveal my real identity and with the situation with Jennie right now, I don't want it to happen again."


She sighs, thinking about Jennie's rage yesterday. Jennie's words were stuck inside her and she can't let it go just like that.


She was awakened by Jennie's words and she wants nothing but to see her again. So she decided to just finish everything even though she loves her too much but shits happen. The image of Jennie's face full of disgust and hatred towards her yesterday was still too fresh.


But despite everything, deep in her heart, she still loves Jennie so dearly. Even though Jennie's words hurt her real bad, her feelings for her remain still and unmoved.


She didn't shed a tear tho. Just like the old times, she grew numb. From the pain and all the words she heard from Jennie's family and her own family from the day she was born.


Even though she knows her worth, their faces will always remain carved in her brain.


There are times that she doubts her self-worth. She stares at the mirror and look at her flaws. She lies at night thinking about what she did wrong, where she went wrong.


She did nothing wrong tho. She was just her, Lisa. Although she didn't go to school, she knows better than of those top notched people.


She doesn't have to go to any beauty salons to fix her appearance because she is already beautiful.

In a sense, she is perfect.

Sadly, no one sees it. Not even her.

So she started living a lie. She believed their words that she is a bad omen, a bad luck, a trash, useless and a waste of oxygen.

She believed it all.


But Jennie's words were her wake up call.



She just grew tired of people criticizing her of what she's not. She decided to live a life that's her that's why she made a rash decision and decided to divorce Jennie. Since it was what the Kim's wanted and what Jennie wanted to do too.



On her sixth deep sigh, she heard Jiyong calling her.


"Young Mistress?"


She was startled of course. She was too caught up by her own thoughts that she forgot that she's not alone.




"I'm sorry, you were saying?" Lisa asked Jiyong for she really didn't hear him after her answer.



Jiyong just sadly smiled at her and said,

"Young Mistress, you were like my younger sister for I've seen you grow up before so I know you. I may not know what your wife has said yesterday but I know that was your button. You have a long patience and you just act as if you didn't hear anything at all most of the time, but when someone crosses the line, you act like this."

Lisa seems to be taken aback by what she heard so she just sighed again andsaid sadly,


"Yeah, she may have went overboard yesterday, but she's still my wife. I feelsad that she sees me that but what she said was true; my parents indeedabandoned me because I'm a trash. But hearing it from her, it sure stings alot."


Then she continued,


"Want to hear my story, Jiyong? I have loved her when I was 17, 3 months beforemy birthday. I saw her back that day when I was in my safe haven. She mighthave heard me saying my sufferings to that old tree." She chuckles.


"I've fallen in love with her the moment I saw her back facing me. I actuallyfelt her presence that day but I decided to shrug it off thinking that maybe itwas just some people passing by. But when I felt her staring at me as ifwaiting for whatever I am going to do, I admired her. That old tree didn't haveleaves in it anymore so I know that it was boring to some." She smiles thistime remembering that old tree.


"She stayed there with me for hours until the darkness came. After a fewminutes, I felt her moved. I waited for her next movements but it felt as ifshe was leaving. So when I knew that she was farther from me, I looked at herdirection. That was the very first time that I didn't feel alone."



"Then when she approached me on my birthday, I was mesmerized by her beauty andI simply agreed on marrying her. I didn't even think twice because I knew thatI wanted to be with her from then on."


"We might not have been like a normal married couple, and she might have beenjust watching them criticize me in front of her, she didn't do it herself.Yesterday was the first time that she called me names and insulted me. That'swhy I was really shocked when I head those from her. And hurt."


She ended it with a sigh again. Fighting her tears back while she felt thecontractions inside her chest, she just let out a long sigh.


When Jiyong heard her, he felt a deep hatred towards Jennie.


Actually, he loathed Jennie for making her feel that way and for lettingeveryone around her do that to Lisa because he has always treated her like hisown sister or maybe more?


He's older than Lisa for 10 years. When Lisa was thrown out of Vientiane, hewas 22. He was there when Lisa was rejected by her own clan; he served as herbig brother because when Lisa was born, he was already training under hisfather to be the Manoban's assistant.


He was also there when Lisa was practicing Kung Fu and all types of MartialArts. Lisa even defeated him in terms of combat. Lisa was the strongest among those bulky men.

She's also a genius. She knows better than anyone else but her family doesn'tsee it. They completely disregard her even though she was the eldest grandchildof the Manoban.


Well except for her grandmother's family and the Old Madam too.


They love her. They see her potential, her worth and everything.


Well what can they do, she's a charming child. She was sweet, caring andthoughtful. She feeds children who are not eating well, she even asked herGrandma to visit some orphanages then give her clothes to them and sometimesshe asks her Grandma to give her some job. At first, Old Madam was hesitant butwhen she heard Lisa's reason, she was touched.


Lisa wanted to earn something from her own hard work to continue giving charityto the poor.


Old Madam likes Lisa's artistry so she asked Lisa to help her arrange hergarden which Lisa gladly took. She even volunteered to clean their cars ofcourse with pay.


There are too many things to mention about Lisa's kindness and she's toounmatched.



Remembering the good old days, Jiyong couldn't help but smile.


Seeing this, Lisa frowned.


"Hey, Oppa! You don't smile at me that way after hearing my story!"


Jiyong's smile even grew bigger as Lisa called Oppa again.


"Huh, I missed you calling me Oppa, Lalisa! Haha! And I'm not laughing at you,I just remember the good old day, Lalisa. I remember how you tied your fewhairs and how funny you looked like back then. Haha."


He said that to lighten up the mood. He can see the pain living in Lisa's eyes.


Remembering how awful she looked like before, Lisa couldn't help but blush andfrowned even more.


"Heyyy! Come here, I will beat you up! Stop bringing that upppp!" As shestarted to stand up and walked towards Jiyong.




Jiyong cockily smiled and walked slightly away from Lisa,


"Catch me if you can, Limario! Hahaha!"




Hearing this, Lisa stomped her foot and yelled,


"KWON JIYONG!"




But just when she was about to run after Jiyong, her phone rang and it says,



WIFE



Jiyong saw the name and said, 


"She might have already received the Divorce papers, Young Mistress."



Lisa simply nodded and picked up the phone.




And before she could even say a word,


"Lisa, no, hubby, you can't do this to me, okay? We will sort it all out, youcome home and we will talk, okay?"


All she could hear was Jennie's panicked voice and with a slight sob mixed inher hoarse voice.


Lisa said,


"No, Jennie, you sign the papers and we will end everything now. You can justleave it at your mailbox and I will pick it up there."


On the other side, Jennie was shaking terribly. She feels so scared right now,she can't bear the thought of not seeing Lisa at home and also she can't takeit even more when the thought of Lisa cutting off their ties crossed her mind.



She shook her head and responded,

"No. No, I said no! I will not sign this thing. You will come home and we willtalk! No divorcements will happen. Come home, hubby, okay? I'm waiting for you."



But all Jennie heard was,

"No, we are clearly done, Jennie. You will sign those papers and we willofficially end everything. And I will not go there anymore. I will be waitingfor the papers."



Then Lisa hung up.



A new set of fresh tears rolled down on Jennie's cheeks as she keeps on shakingher head.



"No no, this is not happening. I will not lose Lisa. NO!!!" She threw all thethings inside their room out of rage but when she saw Lisa's pillow, she huggedit and said.



"I will never lose Lisa. Not ever, not now that I've realized that I have lovedher since the day that I saw her, I will not let her go. I will never signthose papers."



She smelled the pillow with tears in her eyes and said,



"Don't leave me, love. I love you."

Indeed, you will only realize the value of a person after they also realized their worth and decides to leave you.

When Lisa heard those words from Jennie, she felt mixed emotions inside her.

Jiyong looked at her expressions and immediately guessed what happened. But when he thought about it, he was confused.

If Jennie feels the same way, why would she be acting like that for past 3 years? Or maybe she just realized it now that Lisa's gone?


Jiyong just waited for Lisa to speak up but she didn't. Instead, she stood up and took her keys. The Ducati one.


"I'll just have some fresh air, Jiyong. Take care." She just said then left.


She drove to that mini forest where she first saw Jennie. But she saw a woman there sitting where she always sits.


As she gets closer, she saw who that woman was.



"Joohyun."

Oh how it sucks to be in that position.


Glad that I was never on Jennie's shoes.
