Bae Joohyun or Irene Bae is a 30 year old woman. No history of dating and a really private person. She's the only child of the late Bae so she's carrying the entire burden they've left for her.
At the age of 21, she started managing their company to save it from falling. She worked hard for it 'till she managed to take her company to the top, even better than when her parents handled it.
She's a smart woman, wise. They say she's cold blooded, but hell she's not.
When she was starting with the company, she only has that one goal in mind and that is to be with that girl she saw at the orphanage.
Irene's parents used to do some charity; they even established an orphanage to give shelter and food for children who were abandoned by their parents.
Irene didn't usually go with them as she is always busy with her studies and all that and she's not really one to be so affectionate with her parents. But one time, they actually succeeded in pursuing her.
The place that they went to was actually near to where Irene's safe haven is.
As they reached the orphanage, the children lined up together with the social workers greeting them as they went inside. Irene had her poker face on and the kids felt like she was not approachable so they were kinda scared.
Irene roamed her eyes and what caught her eyes made her feel as if they was some sort of a magnetic force that made her eyes stare at that specific person.
It was unusual for someone to catch her attention so she was quite intrigued.
That little girl was at around 12 years old, they're almost at the same height but that little girl had a long brown hair with full bangs, looking down as if ashamed.
It was Lisa.
It was her first month in that orphanage and she was still not comfortable with those people around her for she's always the center of their bullying. She doesn't even know why but she just decided not to put up a fight.
Everything was hard for her but she's really trying her best to stay strong and she's working really hard.
At this time, she was standing behind everyone. The kids were fighting who should stand in front and whatsoever. They said that it's because the founder of that orphanage was coming so everyone was trying to please them.
Lisa doesn't actually do those kinds of things so she just lets them be and she decided to stand out of the crowd when she saw a car coming and the kids tidying up their clothes. She's been pushed and stuffs so she immediately found her way out.
When she heard the car doors opened, she looked down. She was super shy for it was her first time seeing them so she simply looked down. Afraid of meeting their eyes and be questioned.
Lisa felt eyes staring at her so she was even more scared to look up so she discreetly lowered down her head but the stare was too intense for her not to look up but she tried even harder. She decided to stay that way when they were asked to be at ease.
When she felt that they were all busy and sneaked out to her safe place.
She ran towards it and she saw that old oak tree with a mini lake around it.
Little did she know, someone was tailing around her.
Irene was too eager to see Lisa's face. Know her name and simply know her.
Lisa may have looked young at the age of 12; she looked more matured than ever. Her posture was clean and she was extremely prim and proper as they say.
She was tall, she was quite thin but she had a nice body.
Irene followed her like a creep only to find out that the way they were heading to was where her favourite place is.
She kept her distance from her. She stood behind that one tree where she can clearly see Lisa's beautiful face.
When she saw her, she was mesmerized by her beauty.
It was a rare to find someone this beautiful. Sure, Irene is beautiful herself but Lisa's beauty was kind of unique.
Her prominent nose, her jawline, her plump lips and her doe eyes were so perfect. It was complimenting her everything. She's perfect.
Irene was too captivated by her. She was breathtakingly beautiful.
Those were Irene's thoughts when she clearly saw Lisa's face.
'Wow, how could someone be this beautiful?' She thought.
And when she saw Lisa's eyes sparkling while looking at the fireflies flying to the tree as it was almost night time, she was even more charmed.
But when Lisa smiled, she was stunned.

On her way home with her parents, she asked them.
"Who's that tall girl with full bangs?"
Her parents were taken aback. It was rare for Irene to ask about someone. Hell, it was even rare for her to initiate a conversation what more if it is about a person, right?
Her mother was the first one to wake up from her trance and answered her,
"Oh, it was Lisa Manoban. It's her first month there so as you noticed, she's quite shy. And she's 12. Why though?"
Irene hummed and said,
"Nothing."
Then she looked outside the window, still thinking about that girl with doe eyes.
"She's 12, Irene. Take note of that."
Her father reminded her.
She shrugged and coldly said,
"I know."
'Lalisa Manoban 12, huh?'
Then she smirked at that thought.

Months later, her parents passed away.
Nobody ever saw her cry. But she did.
She ran to her safest place and cried a river there.
All curled up hugging her knees in front of that tree, she felt someone tapped her shoulder.
Too shy to look up, she stayed in her position trying to minimize her sobs and that person's tap on her shoulder stopped.
Just when she thought that that person was gone, she felt someone rubbed her back as if comforting her.
She felt the urge to cry again and she did. The hand of that person's warmth made her feel at home and it's like saying, 'it's okay to cry, go on, you are not alone.'
She cried and cried and cried. And that person never left her.
And when she stopped crying, that person stopped rubbing her back making her almost whine at the lost of touch.
She felt a tap on her shoulder again and this time, she looked up.
Not minding her face full of tears, she did. What she saw stunned her.
That person was offering her a handkerchief and Irene seemed to not see it as she was just staring at that person in front of her.
"Hey beautiful lady, you can use my hanky and keep it. I need to leave now; they might be looking for me." Then she smiled.
"Lisa..." Irene mumbled.
Luckily, Lisa didn't seem to hear her.
"I'm sorry?"
Irene shook her head then looked at the handkerchief Lisa offered her and took it.
"Thank you." She said in a low voice and looked at the handkerchief.
What Lisa did next shocked her whole system.
Lisa softly touched her chin and softly held it up and smiled at her.
"Pretty lady, it's okay to cry. It's not okay right now but eventually, it'll all will. I'll lend you this tree for now, okay? I'll leave first, I'm sorry but I really need to go now. As much as I want to stay here with you to comfort you, I can't."
Then Lisa scratched her head.
'Cute' Irene almost voiced out.
"It's okay, I'm fine now. Sorry for taking your time when you should be enjoying this beautiful tree." Irene said.
Lisa shook her head together with her hands,
"Nope, it's all fine. You can even go here anytime you want to. I don't mind sharing hehe. Anyway, I'll get going now pretty lady, yeah?"
Then she wiped Irene's tear-stained cheeks with her thumb.
"You'll be okay someday, beautiful. See you!"
And with that, she ran.
When Lisa was gone, Irene was still stunned at Lisa's gesture.
She hugged Lisa's handkerchief sometimes smelling it.
"Thank you." Then she faintly smiled.

Years later, she didn't stop doing her routine every day.
She goes off work at 5pm to go to her safe haven where she always sees Lisa.
She just remained watching her from a far for her strong desire of owning Lisa grew even harder each day. She can't control herself so she waited patiently until Lisa's 18th birthday.
But on January 2015, she had a business trip and it took her 2 months to finish those as she was finishing her new branch outside Sevierville.
And when Lisa's birthday came, she was too excited to go off work at 5pm to see Lisa and properly introduce herself to her.
But what she saw made her stop from her tracks.
She saw Lisa with Jennie Kim.
She even heard Jennie ask for Lisa to marry her.
She thought that Lisa might not agree to it but she saw Lisa looking up only to say the words that broke Irene's heart.
She said yes.
