We entered an empty room, I assumed this to be Wheeljack's Berth room.
"I'm here for two days and I still don't have one." I mumbled.
Wheeljack smirked, "Ratchet just wants me out of the way." He said.
"And he doesn't want you out of the way?" Unicron asked me.
"You seem to be rather ruthless..." Wheeljack started. What was he trying to get at?
"Ask him what he wants." Unicron suggested.
"What do you want?"
He paused and looked up at me. "So... Ratchet has this little dark energon snippet and I want to make a grenade out of it, you know, to use against the 'cons." He said and awaited judgement.
"Not bad." Unicron said, "But I'd prefer them to be used on Autobots."
"Shut up Sire." I said, adding the 'Sire' to avoid confusion.
Wheeljack understood.
"I can't help it! It's who I am! And I will not change that."
"You don't have too." I told him and turned back to Jackie just as his concerned gaze turned into a frown. "I know Ratchet has an energon snippet." I told him, he raised a ridge, "I found it and he took it."
"Huh." He said and blinked, "You wanna take back what's yours?" He asked with a smirk.
I paused, a bit risky and he'll notice if it went missing. "Don't tell." I said and took out a small piece from inside my chassis, Unicron sounding uncomfortable as I did so. I took it out and gave it to him.
He stared at it, "I won't, want to help make it?" He asked. Not going to state all of his questions at once.
"Yes, you need to learn this stuff." Unicron said.
"Sure." I said and we both sat down on the floor.
"Where'd you get this anyway?" Wheeljack asked, putting the crystal down.
"Found it." I gave the same, short answer I gave Ratchet, "And don't tell anyone." I repeated.
"Sure kid."
If Ratchet found out, he would be suspicious. Why did I not have symptoms of poisoning? So on.
Wheeljack was thinking along the same lines, "I thought this was toxic." He said as he built apart a grenade as I watched.
"Not as much to some?" I shrugged, as I watched, "I thought you pull out the safety pin after you disarm it."
Wheeljack look down and realized he did it the wrong way around, he grabbed the crystal and fled.
What about me?
"You gonna run?" Unicron asked, but at that moment, it was too late.
I formed a shield of dark energon as fast as I could, just in time too. It went off and I was pushed back into a wall, the shield took it well but violently threw my arm back. I vented heavily, now littered in dents. Why couldn't the walls be softer?
I quickly got rid of the shield before someone else saw.
From outside I heard, "Oh scrap." Wheeljack rushed in, slightly surprised to see that a chain reaction to other grenades hadn't started.
"You good?" Unicron asked, slightly worried.
"I'm fine." I grumbled and got up. Wheeljack looked at me in shock.
"How are you alive?" He asked in shock as Optimus and Ratchet came running.
"What happened?" Ratchet said, looking between us, trying to figure out who was at fault.
"I pulled the pin before I disarmed it." Wheeljack explained as I got to my peds all wobbly, I leaned on the wall for support. Wheeljack looked over to me, "I got out of here but he stayed put." He said confused.
"You just left him?" Optimus said, shocked and angry.
"Yes the Fragger left him," Unicron snarled, "I'm having second thoughts about him." He added.
Wheeljack nodded awkwardly. "But he's fine... Somehow." He argued and they all looked at me, littered in dents and trying not to fall over.
"I'm in pain, I'm not fine." I told Wheeljack as Ratchet came over and started fussing over my dents.
"How close were you to the explosion?" Ratchet asked.
I need to make up a lie fast, I looked around and noticed a crate, pushed back by the explosion, it was close. "Behind that crate." I lied.
Ratchet huffed, "You're coming with me to the medbay." He said and roughly pulled me along, the others had collected outside and looked on with worried glances.
"You alright?" Bee beeped, optics soft and worried, I nodded, mainly for his reassurance.
Optimus was already lecturing Wheeljack as we left, Ratchet was silently fuming, his expression making that clear, "Idiot." He muttered.
"Yea." I muttered in agreement, getting more aware of how uncomfortable my shoulder was, the explosion really pushed it back. We made it into the medbay and I sat down on the berth, Ratchet looked over all my dents.
"Turn around." He ordered and I did so, now showing my heavily dented back struts.
Ratchet went to get something, I turned back around.
"What's he doing?" Sire asked.
"What are you doing?" I repeated his question.
"Looking for something."
"Like what?'
Ratchet turned back, holding a suction cup looking thing. He held it up, "It's to pull out your dents." He said and got to it. He didn't seem to care each time I winced.
"He's taking his time isn't he?" Unicron huffed.
"He's old, cut him some slack." I snapped at him, as Ratchet pulled out another dent. He grit his denta at my comment but his faceplate returned stoic as he noticed my shoulder.
"This is out of place." He said and lifted it up.
"Ow." I complained.
"I need to click it back in." He told me, "On three." He warned, wait what? I wasn't even ready. "One, two-" He snapped it back in on two!
"You said on three!" I yelped as tears pricked my optics from the severe pain I was feeling. He grunted in response then got to securing my shoulder with a splint and once he was done he stood back and got something.
He came back with a little, intake sized cube on a stick, he held it out for me.
"What is it?" I sniffed as I took it.
"An energon pop, you suck it." He said stiffly, "Don't move your shoulder much." He said and headed off.
"Thanks." I muttered as he left.
