I ran around the giant crater of lava and to Rye. He looked at me with what once was light blue eyes, but now cold dark eyes. His clothes were torn, his sandy blonde hair was burned and he had cuts all over his arms and face, whether a monster did it or he did it himself is a mystery. I started talking to him with a tired breath in between most words, "Rye...I am....so....sorry..."
He simply tilted his head, "Why Kai?"
I took in a deep breath. Than I continued, "They choose people to come into here....by using other player's memories...and..."
Rye cut me off, "I was in your memory."
All I could do was nod. Rye lightly smiled, "Well with me here now, we can beat whatever this butthole is!" he was clearly forcing to stay happy. To be optimistic. All though I knew deep inside he was as scared as a elephant is to mice. I took off my backpack and got out some supplies to give to Rye, in case we were to get split up. I gave him my old iron sword, some food and a compass I found a while back, not sure when.
"Well....have you been to the village Rye?" I asked.
He shacked his head, "Only thing I remember seeing in this place was this volcano and..." he paused and looked around. Than he whispered in my ears, "An error in a set of giant doors."
