Alice's POV ✖️

"Hurry up!" Called Jaidyn as I rushed out of my front door on my way too school. Despite the massive headache i had from the day before with Zach, Jaidyn was stll making me go to school. At least i had someone looking out for me.

"I'm here, I'm here! Now please stop screaming, I've got a migraine." I said.

She turned towards me and smirked, i looked at her as if she was insane. She then began to say, "I've got a migraine and my pain will last from up, down, and sideways! Thank God it's Frid-"

"UM..no" I laughed. We made our way into my car and began to drive to school. I pressed play on my new All Time Low album and blasted the music to maximum volume. Most of the car ride consisted of us singing to the songs until Jaidyn finally said something.

"So is it true that you like the new kid, Calum?" She questioned me.
"What?" I said confused "No, what the fuck, he's literally only been here for like, 2 days! Plus you know relationships aren't my thing," I laughed at the last part
"Who told you that anyways, that I have a crush on Calum?" I asked.

"Have you not noticed?" She paused and waited for me to respond but when I didn't she said, "That's the only thing everyone's talking about right now."

I pulled up into school, got out my car, and began to walk towards the entrance. "Uh, who's been telling you all this stuff?" I replied.

"It's all I hear everyone talking about in my classes, haven't you heard anyone mention your name in any of your classes?" Jaidyn asked.

"Well..duh! I'm always what people talk about." I said in a confident tone.

We arrived infront of Jaidyn's locker and she began to open & put things in and out. "Well..I don't know, maybe Calum's been the one spreading the rumors." She said.

I never came upon that possibility. I didn't think Calum seemed like the type to spread rumors about me. About us.
He seemed more like the quiet, shy, and humble type.

As soon as the thought left my brain, i felt a burning sensation on the back of my head. As if someone was watching me. I turn around to face the entrance of the school and there I see Calum, standing, or more like frozen, infront of the window staring at me with his mouth wide open.

He looked so gorgeous. His perfect skin tone glistening in the sunlight coming through the window. His big, brown eyes sparkling like the full moon on a clear night sky.

I then realized I had been staring at him for too long. My cheeks flushed red when Jaidyn tapped on my shoulder and said, "Uhh, are you guys having a secret staring competition or something? Because it looks like you're undressing him with your eyes and he's doing the same to you.." She scoffed.

I snapped out of the transe I was in and saw him do the same as he blushed. Those adorable squishy light pink cheeks.

He made his way over to me as I made my way over to him. Both of us meeting in the middle.
"Hey." he said barely above a whisper. "Hey." I replied back.

Jaidyn came up behind me and whispered in my ear, "Dude, are you okay?" She scoffed. "Ye-yeah, im ok. Come one guys lets go to homeroom." Calum & Jaidyn nodded.

The day dragged on and i found myself struggling to keep my eyes open.

"-ancaster!" I heard faintly but decided to ignore. "Ms. Lancaster!" I heard being repeated for a second time. I jumped up from my seat in fright to see my Biology teacher, Mrs.Demota, staring right at me from the front of the classroom. "Another detention next week for falling asleep in class Alice... again!" She scolded at me with a stern look.

I always knew Mrs.Demota hated me.

I looked around the room and saw everyone's attention on me.

And then I see Calum

Who was also staring at me. The sight of his eyes catching mine made my stomach turn and get a feeling which I still can't exactly explain. I quickly looked away and blushed heavily. But me trying to play everything cool says, " It's fine, I think im free next week,"

Alice you're so stupid, that wasn't even smart.

I look back at Calum just in time to see those adorable crinkles next to his eyes when he laughs, chuckles, or giggles. He looks up at me and smiles

He's so fucking adorable what stop.

"Actually, now that we're on the topic of going somewhere this afternoon, we all know that we have the Biology Project coming up so I went ahead and assigned the partners you'll all be in-"

After those words, I stopped listening. I figured I'd just look up when I heard my name. So u just sat there Pondering and thinking of Calum and who I'd get paired with. Preferably someone cool. Someone who would probably be fun to be paired with yet they'd still do most of the work. I mean, the worst that could really happen is me getting paired up with C--.

"And last but not least Alice Lancaster with Calum Hood," I heard Mrs.Demota finally say. I promise you, in that moment my heart stopped completely and I was dead for a moment.

I look over at Calum one more time. Him already looking at me once again. We smile at each other, but his smile more of a grin or smirk.

Once again those breathe taking crinkles next to his eyes.

I giggle a little too loud, just loud enough for the class to all look at me and for Calum to also giggle.

The bell rings right after the little moment and I see Calum head outside the the school doors. Being me, of course, I follow him and watch take a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket and walk away with a short, blonde girl.

What the fuck.
