Hearing a grunt of pain I looked up and saw Zoe slowly opening her eyes. She coughed up blood before speaking.

I looked up and saw Rui talking and slowly walking towards Tanjiro. Grunting I swung backwards and forewords before slamming into a tree.
I fell with enough force the string snapped. I screamed in agony as a tree branch pierced my chest before my body began to fall.
Falling to the ground and fast I hit a lot of branches on the way down.
I slammed down onto the ground near Tanjiro with a gasp of pain. The wind was knocked out of me.
Groaning I looked up just in time to see Tomioka standing over Rui's fading body.
His eyes met mine and I whispered to him:
Me: be free r Rui b be with y your family t there w waiting
Smiling softly as tears left both of our eyes as he turned to dust.
Panting I weakly crawled towards Tanjiro and shielded him with my body.
As black spots filled my vison I groaned. Before all went black I heard someone say:
