The next morning Donna and Alana decide to get Este and go have breakfast together, they drive to the hospital, Alana fiddles with the radio until a song comes on that she is happy to listen to,

"Mommy last night was the best, I really hope we can do it again like real soon." Alana tells her Mom,

"We will honey." Donna says smiling at her youngest daughter. "I promise."

Once they get to the hospital they go straight up to the ICU and walk down to Danielle's room, they go inside and find Este still asleep in the armchair with her head resting on the bed next to Danielle,

Donna goes to wake her but Alana stops her,

"No hang on Mom don't wake her just yet." Alana half whispers, half giggles, she quickly pulls her phone out and takes a photo of Este sleeping,

"Alana." Donna says,

"She's like totally drooling Mom this picture's definitely gonna come in handy later on." Alana grins,

"You girls," Donna says shaking her head, she gently wakes Este up, "Honey."

Este slowly stirs, opening her eyes, she sits up wiping the drool from her mouth,

"Hey Mom." She says in a sleepy voice,

"Good morning sweetheart, sleep well?" Donna asks,

"AH yeah Mom I slept..." Este stops mid sentence, "Oh my god it wasn't a dream, Mom it wasn't a dream."

"What wasn't honey?" Donna asks, confused as Este quickly stands up,

"Danielle last night I...I thought I dreamt she squeezed my hand but look," Este says directing her Mom's gaze to their hands, "She did squeeze it, look she's holding my hand Mom."

"You sure you didn't during the night hold Danielle's hand yourself Este?" Donna asks,

"No Mom I didn't." Este replies. "Danielle, Danielle can you hear me? Open your eyes Yelly come on wake up, wake up."

Donna and Alana watch as Este tries to wake Danielle up,

"Come on Yelly please open your eyes, or at least squeeze my hand again please, please Yelly show Mom I wasn't dreaming it please."

They anxiously wait and watch Danielle's hand in Este's but after a few minutes Este lowers her head,

"I guess I...I must've dreamt it after all," She whispers feeling the tears escaping her eyes,

"No LOOK." Alana yells, pointing at Danielle's hand,

They watch as Danielle's fingers slowly curl up in Este's hand, the movement lasts only a few seconds and then her hand becomes still but it was the first sign of hope that Danielle was possibly on the road to recovery,

Alana crying hugs her Mom, Este squeezes Danielle's hand,

"I knew you'd come back to us Yelly." She whispers in her sister's ear.

"I need to go let the Doctors know." Donna says, happy tears in her eyes, she kisses Danielle's forehead, "My baby."

Alana looks at Este and laughs as she does a small dance on the spot.

The Doctors spend the next two days performing different tests on Danielle, after the slight hand movement everybody kept waiting for Danielle to show more signs she was waking up,

"I don't understand why is it taking so long? She moved her hand, why isn't she doing more?" Donna asks,

"Like I said brain injuries take time Mrs. Haim, the scans did indicate more brain activity then the previous scan which is a vast improvement." Dr. Schneeweiss tells her,

"Yes but why isn't she waking up?" Donna says, "It's been almost two months now."

"I'm sorry Mrs. Haim these small improvements are a good sign but as we discussed previously there is still a chance Danielle may never come out of her coma, I don't won't to destroy your hope but we have to look at her injuries realistically, even if she does wake up your daughter may never be the same as she was before her head injury."

Este who has been sitting next to her Mom listening to the Doctor puts her arm around her now crying Mother,

"Wh...when will you know for certain?" Este asks,

Dr. Schneeweiss sighs, "Some things we just don't know for certain, I've seen people who should've died from their injuries make a full recovery."

"But that's other people, we want to know about Danielle." Este says still comforting her Mother,

"I wish I could tell you more, I would've hoped Danielle had been further along in her recovery by now, we will just continue to monitor her and see if there is any further signs of improvement." Dr. Schneeweiss says before excusing himself from the room.

In a daze they walk back down to Danielle's room, Alana who has been sitting with Danielle looks up expectantly,

"So what did the Doctor say? When is Danielle going to wake up?" She asks,

"They don't know, they're suppose to be the expects but they don't know shit." Este says,

"Este please mind your language." Donna quietly asks,

"Why Mom? It's the truth, they don't know, one minute they're saying she's improving and the next telling us she may never wake up, they don't know shit." Este says raising her voice,

"May never wake up." Alana whispers, "She lied to me."

'What are you talking about honey? Who lied to you?" Donna asks,

"D she told me she'd always be here for me. She lied." Alana says, "She lied."

She gets up and runs out of the room crying.
