AS THE MOTORBOAT'S ENGINE ROARED happily, the three began to be on their way. Denki was still incredibly close to Y/N, a fact she didn't know if she minded or not.
You shouldn't be quick to judge him just because you want to be at home with your parents, she reminded herself, holding onto the railing edging the motorboat's back compartment as the vehicle picked up speed.
"Here's the fun bit!" Denki yelled over the scream of the wind and laughter of the motor, as the boat finally became fast enough to begin skipping over the waves.
The nose of the boat would lift, and then slam down again, sending a salty spray of clear river water over the two teenagers in the bag seat, who would laugh energetically as it happened again and again.
Y/N hung as far out over the edge of the boat as she could go, like an excited dog sticking its head out of the window, her fists clamping the railings as she shouted joyfully, enjoying the misty salt on her face and the feeling of flying.
She could hear Denki laughing right behind her as the boat leaped again and again. "I keep forgetting you've only been to our holiday home a couple times!"
"I wish I could do this every day!" she screamed back to him, the wind throwing her hair into her e/c eyes and causing her to descend into giggles.
