THE INSIDE OF THE RIVER-SIDE home was no less beautiful than the outside. Shining, wooden planks made it feel like the belly of a ship, the wind could well be the sea, and a crackling fireplace gave the entertaining room the welcoming energy of a captain's quarters. 

"It's been a couple years since I was last up here," Y/N admitted, looking around to reacquaint herself with the house. "It's so beautiful."

"Yes, we don't see you often, do we?" Chiyoko noted sadly, patting the girl on the head as she bustled around the kitchen.

"It's tragic," Haru agreed, stroking his beard. "You know, I think Denki would really benefit from having you come over more of-"

Denki elbowed his father in the side, with a glower of a glare. "Dad. Shut up."

The visitor just laughed, accepting a glass of water and gulping it down eagerly. "I really should come over more often."

Her statement truly came from the heart - though she had never hated the Kaminari family, she hadn't been the best neighbour, and maybe expressing such unwillingness to spend a weekend with them had been cruel of her.

More words from Chiyoko brought Y/N out of her guilty haze. "Oh, I totally forgot, whilst my husband was yammering on-"
